About this deal

Add the fifth version of the Altra Olympus to your running shoe rotation if you want a protective and comfy shoe for: My heal does slip out of them a little bit when I walk though. I've gotten used to it, but it was an adjustment at first. Hey, what's up? Canberk here. A former General Electric Aviation Design Engineer. Academically involved in cold weather outdoor gear, particularly wearable heating systems using conductive polyester and polyamide yarns. Read more about me. Altra Olympus vs Lone Peak

TAYLOR: Max cushion on the trails is pretty much owned by a singular company that provides ample top-notch options. If you run, we don’t have to tell you who (but yeah we’re talking about HOKA). But let it be known¬– “they” are not the only ones slayin’ the game as of late.Olympus 4.0 equips the most recent, so-called "Vibra Mega" grip technology of Altra. Compared to the outdated "DuraTrac" of Olympus 3.5's, this is a HUGE step forward. Going from 3.5 to 4.0, the lugs also seem to have increased especially through the mid-foot. If you're unaware, here's what toe-off means: Pushing the ground farther from yourself not only using your entire forefoot but also your toe strength. Yes, this results in minuscule differences, but it adds up when you're competing with milliseconds (hint: Shorter distances).

Shoes which start falling apart as early as a month or two of very light use. No running, just going to the office and using them as everyday shoes. Holes in the fabric, sole flattening out and more. ABSOLUTE JUNK ! Hi, lets start I am a novice have run some races Num Num 32km and others of 20km and did the Num Num with Solomon’s, they are a bit narrow for my feet and I do weight 106kg at 6,1 ft. I bought a TMP 1.5 and found them thin whilst the Olympus 3.5 I found to wiggly not stable under my foot. Do you think the Altra Lone Peak will give more stability ( I will never do more than 40km)With all that amount of cushioning, we expected that the Altra Olympus 5 would be far from a minimalist shoe in terms of flexibility.
