Support bui lt-in WIFI online fighting, streaming, HDMI, vibrating motor, s upport 3.5mm stereo earphones, The RG35XX features the Actions ATM7039S quad core processor running up to 1.6GHz with a quad core PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. Combined they provide enough performance for all 4 th generation gaming consoles and some newer ones. The retro gaming handheld comes with 256MB DDR3 RAM which is more than enough for the OS and emulator for the gaming consoles it supports. As part of our RG35XX review we will go over the Operating System and the User Interface. The RG35XX retro handheld emulator uses a closed source chipset and operating system so we may not see any custom firmware for it at all.

We finish our RG35XX review with our thoughts on the emulator handheld and is it worth buying compared to the Miyoo Mini. We need to keep in mind that the RG35XX is a budget retro handheld, with most other handhelds costing double the price of this one. So let’s go over what we liked and didn’t like. The RG35XX is an amazing budget retro gaming handheld that plays many of your favourite classic consoles. Combined with a quad-core PowerVR SGX544MP GPU, it is as powerful as the other 4th generation gaming consoles. The 256MB DDR3 RAM is more than enough for the OS and emulator for the gaming consoles it supports. With the 2600mAh rechargeable battery inside the retro gaming handheld, you get up to 5 hours of battery life depending on the emulator you are playing. The only complaint I have is about the sloppiness of information about system-updates. Most is available on win.anbernic.com, though I only found the latest Android-version (v1.11E at the time) on a YouTube-video for a different device, but the description of the link said v1.10E. Same with the links on win.anbernic.com, which are partly wrong or have a wrong description. For example, the link for the Android-version 1.10E, was the same link as for the Linux-variant. I would wish for more diligence in creating the information and a bit more structure. As a developer and techie, it was doable for me, but still took quite a while to figure out what is what and where to find it. I bet there's less tech-savvy people, who love to enjoy their retro-handheld, but have problems updating there system. There's reddit, there's YouTube, but I'd prefer to have less of a hassle from the official source.

The 3.5” IPS display runs at a 640×480 resolution at 4:3 aspect ratio which is perfect for retro gaming. The RG35XX display looks bright and colourful and not so small it is hard to see any detail. HDMI output to a monitor or TV is supported via the Mini HDMI port found on the top of the retro gaming handheld, it also upscales your games to 720P on your big screen. Anbernic RG35XX is powered by an Actions ATM7039S 4-core processor, allowing you to play most of the retro games on its 3.5” IPS display. It is a mini handheld that can emulate PS1, CPS, FBA, NEOGEO, GBA, GBC, etc. games and comes at a competitive price. It’s not the most powerful handheld out there, but what it does come with plays very well indeed. And it is much the same for the Master System, all the games I tried worked fine with no issues at all. PlayStation 1 PlayStation 1 Emulation

Please Note

There are sixteen classic gaming systems supported on the RG35XX retro gaming handheld. You can relive or discover amazing games up to the fourth generation of consoles, also including Arcade and PS1.

But emulation on the RG35XX retro gaming handheld is overall pretty good, it plays PlayStation 1 with no apparent issues. However, I would have liked to have seen if frame skipping is definitely used on some of the emulators, and the option to disable it. It can be annoying seeing normal and sped up character movements in games. RG35XX or Miyoo Mini? There are 16 classic gaming systems supported on the RG35XX retro gaming handheld. I stumbled upon a review on YouTube, had a look and wanted to have it. Now, after a while with it, I can say: I love it. I find it intriguing, what devices can be built at what price nowadays. I especially like the screen and the buttons, which have a good quality-feel for me. Other functions: Support 2.4G wireless gamepad and wired gamepad connection, HDMI output TV, vibrating motor There is an included 64GB Micro SD card with the RG35XX which contains the Linux based operating system and game storage. A second Micro SD card up to 512GB can be used for additional game storage on the retro gaming handheld. The RG35XX now also supports dual OS, allowing you to either use the official OS or GarlicOS
