About this deal

A: Not a great deal. The name and bottle size are the most obvious factors, although there is a subtle difference in the formulations, but not enough to make a great deal of difference to the performance. Magma was formulated with the needs and desires of the home user in mind, Liquid Clay was formulated for professional users. Both are excellent at removing iron, are pH neutral and both use Colour change Technology, turning red during use. It contains an iron fallout remover in it and is very easy to use. After 5 minutes (in cool conditions), the worst alloys I used this on had lit up like a Christmas tree. In the product videos for it, they do add (in my opinion) way too much product. After trying it out on alloys that hadn’t been cleaned for a few weeks, a few liberal sprays were sufficient enough to remove the majority of the dirt on the wheel with agitating it.

Note: Magma reacts to iron particles. To remove other types of contamination such as tree sap or tar, use the Autoglym Clay Detailing Complete Kit.
