About this deal

I don’t see the switch indicating information in the manual, but I note that the switch indicates as follows: Larger Design: The Baton 3 Pro has a larger side button than the S2R Baton II, making it easier to operate the button. Olight was pretty conservative with their numbers and were easily achieved in my test environment. Runtime: This Lime Green version is special in some sense, though, because it’s the only (or one of the few) that offers a Neutral White tint. (Some of those “Spirits” might have had non-cool-white emitters, but I can’t recall.) Price The Baton 4 now boasts an impressive maximum output of 1,300 lumens, shining brighter than ever before. With an 8.3% increase in output compared to the Baton 3, you can now see objects brighter and clearer with a range of up to 170 meters.

Like with (probably) all of their flashlights, Olight includes a battery and magnetic charging cord with the S2R Baton 2. It’s a great magnetic flashlight. In terms of durability, the Baton 4 is equipped with a robust, metal switch, ensuring enhanced longevity and a better tactile feel every time you press it. This upgrade from the Baton 3's silicon switch guarantees a more reliable and satisfying user experience. Furthermore, the Premium Edition case not only charges the Baton 4 but also accommodates the Baton 3, S1R II, Perun Mini, and Perun 2 Mini. It even functions as a power bank for your external devices, thanks to its convenient Type-C port, allowing you to charge your phone, earbuds, or other devices on the go. A battery level indicator built into the side switch that lets you know when the battery needs charging. A green light indicates above 60% power, an orange light indicates 10-60 % power, a red light indicates less than 5-10% power and a red blinking light means less than 5% power and that the torch needs to be charged. Measurement disclaimer: Testing flashlights is my hobby. I use hobbyist-level equipment for testing, including some I made myself. Try not to get buried in the details of manufacturer specifications versus measurements recorded here; A certain amount of difference (say, 10 or 15%) is perfectly reasonable. What’s Included

Featuring five brightness levels and strobe, the torch is turned on and off with a single press of the side mounted push button. Select the brightness level, with the torch turned on, by holding the switch to cycle through low, mid and high in turn, whilst the moonlight mode of 0.5 lumens can be accessed directly when the torch is off by pressing and holding down the switch. The included Olight 18650 3200 mAh tailored lithium-ion battery is specially designed and only this battery and the 3500 mAh equivalent can be charged within the torch. The battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable for faster charging than before. Simply connect the magnet to the base of the torch and plug the USB end into a suitable USB adaptor (5 V 2 A recommended for fastest charging).

One of the key improvements in the S2R Baton II is its impressive maximum runtime of 60 days at 0.5 lumens, which significantly surpasses the previous model. This extended runtime makes it an excellent choice for emergency preparedness and long-term use in low-light conditions. Yes, Olight also pays attention to its knurling. If you look at the Olight Warrior Mini, or the Olight S1R Baton. you would almost imagine the Olight S2R Baton II to have the same knurling. But no, that’s not the case. I’m not sure which knurling I like better, but the knurling on the S2R Baton II really looks nice.

Like many other Olights, the Olight S2R Baton II flashlight uses Olight’s very common proprietary magnetic charging connector. The charge base on this light is just charge base, and doesn’t double as a two-stage switch as we see on a light like the Warrior Mini 2. Here’s really the main issue with this emitter. It’s green. On the low modes, it’s not just a little green. It’s very green. In the highest couple of levels, it’s more or less ok, but the positive Duv on the lower modes is not something I look for in an emitter. With a weight of just 1.8 oz (51 g) and compact dimensions of 2.48 in (63 mm) in length, 0.83 in (21 mm) in head diameter, and 0.83 in (21 mm) in body diameter, the S1R Baton II is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, EDC (everyday carry) enthusiasts, campers, hikers, and anyone in need of a reliable and powerful compact flashlight. A battery level indicator built into the side switch lets you know when the battery needs charging. A green light indicates above 70% power, a yellow light indicates 15% - 70 % power and a red light indicates less than 15% power and that the torch needs to be charged. Medium: Very stable output of around 143 lumens for 14 hours. At that point, it starts to drop gradually and continues to run for a couple more hours. After 17 hours I stopped the test and removed the battery. The battery was again at around 2.55V.. Which is pretty low, a bit too low in my opinion. The total runtime is 14 hours.Alternatively, if you would like to compare the Baton 3 Pro with the Baton Pro, we can state the case for the Baton Pro here. Here are a few runtimes. Unlike the old models (specifically the S1R II Baton), this version doesn’t seem to shut off at a low voltage – these tests ran into the 2.58V range. By that point, the switch had already been indicating low voltage for some time, though. So mind the switch! Huippusuosittuun Olight S2R -taskulamppuun perustuva S2R-II on markkinoiden pienimpiä suoraladattavia 18650-valaisimia. Vain 100 mm pituinen valaisin painaa akkuineen ainoastaan 98.5 grammaa. The charging base is the common Olight MCC, which can charge at 1A, 1.5A, or 2A. As I said above, this cell can be charged in a regular bay charger too! I didn’t do a runtime test for low and moon, but they are supposed to run for 100 hours (Low) and 6 days (Moon). Throw Measurement

We launched the Baton 3 Pro Torch at the O-Fan Days event in September 2022, doesn't the name of the torch sound like an updated version of the Baton 3 ? Actually, no! The runtime test was done with the 50cm integrating sphere, including the Kenko Pro1D ND-16 filter and Extech SDL400 data logging Lux Meter. First 4 hours The Olight S2R Baton has been a pretty popular EDC flashlight since 2016, when the first edition came out with a CREE XPL LED and 1020 lumens. 2 years later, in 2018, the 2nd generation was announced, with a Luminus SST40 LED and 1050 lumens. For most EDC use cases, that is likely enough for most of people. As you can see, although the Baton Pro is 500 lumens brighter than the Baton 3 Pro, its throw distance is 43m lower than the Baton 3 Pro, and it is more expensive. The above results are based on ANSI/NEMA FL1-2009 standard and are tested using the included battery. The Baton 3 Pro has 2 color temperatures: cool white and neutral white, but the S2R Baton II only has cool white. The Baton 3 Pro Torch is an updated version of theS2R Baton IIwith 350 lumens more than the S2R Baton II and is the first Olight with a hidden light sensor. Other features such as the design of the body, the colour and the colour temperature of the light source have been greatly improved. Turbo: 1500 lumens; 2 minutes run-time ~ 600 lumens; 2 hour, 57 minutes run-time; 175 m beam range* Year Warranty: Allty 2000, Archer, Array 2, Array 2S, Baton 3, Baldr Mini, Baldr RL Mini, Baldr S, Baldr Pro R, BFL 900, BFL 1800, H05 Lite, i1R2 Pro, Nightour, Obulb, Obulb MC, Obulb MCs, Open 2, Open Pro, PL Mini 2 Valkyrie, PL Pro Valkyrie, RN 120, RN 180 TL, RN 1200, RN 1500, RN 3500, Swivel etc.
