About this deal

Speed is important when it comes to 3D printing. It affects print quality and how much power and material you use. But that wasn’t enough, we wanted to know what happens when you crank up the print speed on the Ender-3 V2 Neo right to the top.

The Ender 3 Pro was released in September of the same year and was designed to fix a lot of the niggling problems that many users experienced with the original model. Whether you have an Ender 3, Ender 5, Prusa Mini or Anet A8, these all have the same type of causes and solutions to stop your nozzle hitting your prints. Unless there are large design different, you can follow the steps above. The spool-holder dowel is held in place on the spool holder with a plastic nut, about an inch in diameter. The nut comes attached to the dowel and should unscrew from it in a manner similar to opening a child-proof cap to a pill bottle. Try as I might, though, I couldn’t get the nut to budge by hand. I ultimately had to remove it using a wrench that could open wide enough to securely grasp it. Creality's Ender-5 Pro, which I tested concurrently with the V2, uses the same dowel-and-nut combo, but I was able to separate them on the first try, no wrench needed.

An important thing to realize about the Ender-3 V2 is that it comes as a kit. Creality doesn't sell a pre-assembled version. During setup, you bolt together or otherwise connect the parts mentioned above. Building the V2 is more involved than constructing the Original Prusa Mini—for which you bolt the Y-axis assembly to the base, attach the LCD screen and spool holder, and connect some cables, and then you're good to go. Assembling the V2 was akin to the build process for the AnyCubic Vyper, taking several hours for the basic construction and a few more in troubleshooting.

If your extruder is too low, you’ll have to take your extruder apart, then reseat it properly. The case here is that the extruder might not be securely fitted inside how it should be. I would search a video tutorial on your specific 3D printer and follow how the extruder was put in. Inside of that examples folder, you'll find all the manufacturers and there you locate the Creality subfolder. But of course you can also just open visual studio code and then use the open folder menu from the side bar to open that folder by locating it on your computer. You definitely want to go around each corner of the bed, as well as the center twice so you can get a good gauge of the level. To either side of the build platform stands a semi-hollow vertical beam known as an extrusion (not to be confused with the extruder, or printing nozzle). The pair is bridged at the top by a crossbar. Another horizontal beam, which can move up and down between the extrusions by means of a vertical screw and small rubber wheels, holds the extruder, which also slides side to side. The spool holder for your filament is attached to the top crossbar, and an LCD is bolted onto the base, to the right of the build platform.

Marlin 2.0 takes this popular RepRap firmware to the next level by adding support for much faster 32-bit and ARM-based boards while improving support for 8-bit AVR boards. Read about Marlin's decision to use a "Hardware Abstraction Layer" below. However, if you enjoy living dangerously and pushing technology to the limit, all four models are able to work at up to 180mm/s, although this does come with a major caveat of being highly unreliable and you’ll lose print quality. It has many of the same features as the standard Ender 3, with an identical build volume and build plate, print speed, and filament capacity. To work the display, you have to rotate the knob, which takes you through the different options. To select an option, you push on the knob, which makes a rather loud popping sound. For best results, you might want to use Creality filaments on their printers. A good example is this roll of 1.75 mm PLA that came with our printer. This allows you to very easily load, unload, push or pull filament manually. you can simply grab the knob and twist: a simple and elegant manual solution. The most common method to determine the distance between the nozzle and the bed is using a piece of paper or thin card between the nozzle.
