About this deal

Many of these garlands are simple, but you can easily add some festive cheer in an easy way with lights, ornaments or even faux bright red berries for a traditional look. Important Considerations

While I’ve already share the best garland to buy this year, there’s also a variety of other highly rated artificial Christmas garlands that might pique your interest – from mixed greens, to evergreen garlands of cedar and pine. I’ve written often about our love for fresh Christmas greens and greenery garlands. While I adore the fragrance and style of fresh pine garlands and cedar garlands, there are many times when faux is just preferable. When shopping for faux Christmas garlands, I consider factors such as quality, realism, pre-lit or unlit, color scheme, and price (because I’m usually on budget, y’all). Most of these are budget friendly, with the exception of a couple. But again – think investment, not OMG!! Most realistic Garlands Simpler or more Lush– If you want a fuller look, don’t be afraid to double up! Use 2-3 garlands for a very lush, dramatic style on your mantel. It’s easier to maintain, obviously, because we don’t have to worry about it drying out and becoming a crunchy fire hazard with Christmas lights. While it’s a bit more of an investment up front, it can also be used year after year. This is the garland I decided to use for my Christmas mantel this year, just to try something new! Preserved & Fresh Garlands The best faux garland in my opinion is the Norfolk Pine Garland. It’s just that good. It’s the most real looking garland. And it’s the one I really look forward to sprinkling around the house because it just looks good and realistic on everything. So if you really want the real thing when it comes to garlands, but want to make it last, these are a great choice. 11. Preserved Boxwood Garland

We’ve gathered a few favorites at various retailers from the Original Afloral Real Touch Norfolk Pine line. It’s great to have options so you can choose your favorites!

Keep in mind, however, that this living plant requires care. It can also dry out easily in an arid indoor environment, so you want to provide adequate moisture.

The tree actually costs less than the 60-inch long garland. So, as the tree grows, you can actually get more pine for your money. If you choose to only use two pieces of artificial garland you’ll get a sparser look, but it’ll still look very pretty. Two pieces alone can be laid right on top of the mantel without the use of command hooks, but if you want to drape them, you’ll still need the hooks. These garlands are investment pieces. In this case, you get what you pay for. These garlands are something you’ll continue to use year after year.

The best faux Christmas garlands sell out EARLY. Last year, that meant the first week of November. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

This garland has a “real touch” feel to it. It’s not hard and ribbony like the cheap garlands of the past. It’s soft, bendable, and has a beautiful rich green that looks natural and realistic. It’s not hard to see why it’s considered the best garland for Christmas. Real vs Fake Garland As much as I love a fresh garland, I like to enjoy my Christmas decorations for as long as possible, and real garland just doesn’t last as long as I need it to.

Here’s a comparison chart outlining the advantages of Norfolk Pine Natural Touch Garland compared to a live Norfolk Pine tree: Aspect That, paired with the fact that I’d rather not have my 1 year old eating crispy pieces of cedar or pine needles, means that artificial Christmas garland is the best choice for my decorating plans. These are not artificial garlands, they are real foliage… but they are too stunning to not include on my list. Some are preserved and require zero maintenance, others are fresh and just require misting every few days to prolong their life span.
