While the Roberts Blutune T2 DAB radio with Bluetooth doesn’t have the same retro styling, it delivers a sophisticated appeal that’s hard to overlook.

Like most items available from Roberts today, the Blutune 5 probably isn’t your go-to choice if you’re looking for a simple and cheap Bluetooth radio that gets the job done. Roberts gives you the option to either wake up to the sound of a standard buzzer, or a pre-set radio station. There’s also a snooze button for when you need “five more minutes.” Charging your smartphone couldn’t be easier than with the Blutune 300. Simply place a Qi-charging compatible smartphone (or other compatible device) on the dedicated place on top of the system. For none compatible devices, you can also charge via the USB interface. As you might expect, the Blutune comes with all the connectivity features you might need, including DAB+, DAB, and FM radio, combined with Bluetooth in case you want to stream music and content from your phone. Compact sizing doesn’t necessarily mean cutting down on features or functionality when you’re dealing with Roberts.

While it’s certainly not the cheapest radio/CD player, the Roberts Blutune100 Sound System offers value for money given its quality and durability. This sound system sounds amazing, so if you want to enjoy your music in all its depth and detail, the Blutune100 is a good choice.

Don’t know where to put all your CDs? That’s how I feel too. That’s why I was downright happy to finally have a device in my own home, the BluTune 300, to play my old CD collection. The CD slot is pleasantly unobtrusively hidden on the front and has an automatic feed. I strongly expect that many buyers of the BluTune 300 will feel a similar sensation to mine and will be delighted with the new discovery of their own CD collection. DAB+ allows you to find many different radio stations – assuming reception of the high-quality signal. The control of the noble radio goes wonderfully simple from the hand. Anyone who has ever operated an audio device does not have to look in the manual to know which button has what meaning. Individual operating steps can be carried out in the interaction of the control unit and the easily recognizable display. Alternatively, the chic radio can also be controlled with the included remote control. Unfortunately, this doesn’t make as high-quality an impression as the radio. There are more affordable options out there, and to some extent, you’re paying for the classic Roberts styling and attention to detail with this model. However, we think it might be worth splashing the extra cash.

Intended to be more than just a basic portable radio, the Roberts Blutune 5 is a high-performance Bluetooth streaming device and incredible bedside radio. Free the music on your smartphone or tablet, with Bluetooth audio streaming. Simply pair with your smartphone or tablet and stream your stored music or music from the many streaming music services available, such as Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. Bluetooth streaming gives you access to a near unlimited supply of music. That’s probably why we spend so much time waxing lyrical about iconic Roberts Radio pieces like the Revival RD70, for instance. At this point, if you’re willing to pay the extra for the Roberts brand label, then you probably already know that you can expect a beautiful product in return.
