But you still rooted for him cause along with his very dark monster he was drift only for her. He had a lot of love that was ONLY for her. Isa- she’s living in her self made cage since she was 5 yrs old cause of an incident that happened and changed her whole life. She lives to please her very unappreciative family. And is basically not really living at all. Her twin sister is the worst person ever. He threatens her little sister if she doesn't marry him (we know from the text that he doesn't mean it, but she doesn't and he is actively using her belief that he does to get what he wants from her). Thalia Karras, daughter of a GREEK (yeah, you read it right!) Mafioso is contracted to marry Calix Regas when she's just five years old. Nothing to worry, the story is absolutely safe in that aspect.I typically love the psychotic, completely unhinged, violently possessive villain/anti-hero MMC, but there was just something about Rafe that wasn’t quite there for me. I felt the same way about Isa, although her character development was well done and made me like her a lot more in the last 2 books.
