About this deal

The following year, in 2016, the band announced several special concerts around the UK to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 1996 hit album Moseley Shoals. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered. On 11 October 2010, the band released a 4-CD box set, 21, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the band. They even played on the "Moseley Shoals 15th Anniversary Tour", which they didn't originally record on. Releases in 2001 (Mechanical Wonder), 2003 (North Atlantic Drift), 2005 (A Hyperactive Workout for the Flying Squad) and 2007 (On the Leyline) continued the trend of releasing new material every two years.

On 22 June 2016, the band officially announced that Scottish musician Raymond Meade would be joining the band permanently on bass, following the departures of both Dan Sealey and Andy Bennett. With its distinctive sound and heartfelt lyrics "Mosely Shoals" is a genuine timeless classic and was worth every one of the admittedly relatively few pennies I spent on my second-hand disc. It's not the just songwriting or the playing that makes these songs so very good, that's not to say that the songwriting isn't good, it is, and so is the playing from all four musicians, but it's in the arrangements and the production by Bernard Lynch and OCS where their strength lies; they've really thrown in the bells and whistles, although perhaps not real bells and whistles, and that's what makes these songs work; they're collages of carefully arranged small fragments of sound that have been pasted together but not in a throw-in-the-kitchen-sink-and-make-everything-louder-than everything-else way, these songs been crafted with journeyman precision and it's an absolute joy to listen to them in my headphones.A companion vinyl box set was also released, covering their first three studio albums from 1992–1997. They sprinkle Beatlesque and Stonesy flourishes throughout the album, as well as the odd prog rock flair, adding an even more eclectic flavor to their traditionalist pop/rock. Cradock was asked to play live with Weller on his tour, and the money Cradock made kept the band afloat during this time. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Perhaps that's why Fowler--one of Britain's most under-recognised lyricists --sounds like a man with nothing to lose on "The Circle" and the aching "It's My Shadow".

In December 2012, the band announced the forthcoming release of their tenth studio album, Painting, which was released on 11 February 2013. A low-key start to their career was boosted by two things – the endorsement of two of Britain’s biggest pop stars – Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher, and the exposure given to the first single, "The Riverboat Song", by Chris Evans on his hit TV show TFI Friday. Re-listening to this now (my daughter had it 20 years ago) - it strikes me how much Simon Fowler's vocals often sound like the young Mick Jagger.

In 2014 a special edition of Marchin' Already was released on a 2 CD edition and a special deluxe 4 disc box set which included a DVD of their live performance at Stirling Castle in 1998.
