About this deal

Fantastic case. I am very over RGB software (it's all bloatware that fights with other RGB software. So when we were doing our biannual in-house computer hand-me-downs (there are 4 of us, parents included, with gaming PCs in home, and this process often involves a case and/or cooler change) and my daughter wanted RGB, I looked for a solution that would allow for lights with no light software. For an airflow-focused case, the acoustic results for the G360A aren’t bad, but I did notice a significant increase in decibel levels with our Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC’s fans ramped up to 75% speed. With that said, if you’re buying this case, chances are that noise isn’t a big issue to you. Plus, it’s not like this chassis is as loud as some pricier cases, like the Corsair iCUE 5000T. Thermal Results for the Phanteks Eclipse G360A

Designed to meet next-generation cooling demands, the Phanteks Eclipse G360A features a plethora of intelligent cooling features. What’s more, with support for up to seven x 120mms fans, three of which are included, the overall cooling capacity is greatly improved to keep up with the demands of next-generation gaming hardware. You can opt to fully take advantage and mount all seven fans or choose four 140mm fans spread across the front, top, and rear panels of the case. The Eclipse Series from Phanteks is known for offering a great value across its lineup. The G360A brings unique capabilities and features to house even the highest end gaming systems in a compact ATX mid-tower chassis.

While the bottom of the mobo is better (more holes) there still aren't as many holes as most other cases. The Phanteks Eclipse G360A also includes support for a 360mm radiator that can be installed in either the front or the top of the case. If you choose to mount it at the front, the brand-new removable front panel makes installation a breeze. As a result, there is now more clearance space to accommodate both a front AiO radiator, your GPU, and the out-of-this-world modern aesthetics.

We’ve updated our testing hardware to use Intel’s 12 Gen “Alder Lake” platform, which has shaken up the desktop landscape (and taken prominent spots on our best CPUs for gaming list). We’re now using a Core i7-12700KF, which is being cooled by a Noctua U12s air cooler. Our graphics card is a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC. Acoustic Results for the Phanteks Eclipse G360A

The included 3 x dRGB 120mm pre-installed fans and LED strip can all be synchronised with other compatible hardware or lighting, allowing you to create a truly unique RGB light show that suits your desired aesthetic. Upgrade Now: Like all Phanteks lighting products, the integrated D-RGB lighting is simple to control with pre-programmed lighting effects and requires no software. Optionally, the D-RGB controller can be synchronized with compatible motherboards and expanded with more D-RGB products. The achieved temperatures at maximum load are on a very good level and, compared to the measured values without case, just a bit higher, but by no means in a critical range. This shows that the mesh panel in the front of the G360A is not very restrictive and that the three pre-installed ones can deliver decent fresh air into the interior. At full speed, however, the fans are quite audible and also produce very discreet bearing noise. Turned down to under 1000 rpm, the noise is more pleasant and the temperatures are still in a good range. Lighting Options in the Phanteks Eclipse G360A It's much thinner than most ATX midtowers (still just as tall). It has just barely enough room to fit a big air cooler (I installed a ThermalRight Peerless Assassin which is one of the tallest at 157mm and it just barely fits; max clearance is 160mm). Note that I doubt you'd be able to fit a 4080 or 4090 in here with the power cable and close the glass. FTW3 3070 Ti fit fine though.

Unfortunately, there are also negative aspects to the Phranteks Eclipse G360A. Considering the price, a fourth fan in the rear and a USB Type-C port in the I/O panel would have been desirable. In addition, the 90-degree rotated cable management openings, depending on the power supply cable or cable extension, make cabling the system difficult. In general, the cable management system only works optimally when at least the first strut of the PSU cage has been removed. It absolutely needs some more holes along the top of the mobo. You really can't feed cables through here except at the corners. The metal front panel features Phanteks' Ultra-fine Performance Mesh design that combines high airflow performance with dust filtration, all-in-one. With its high-performance design, the G360A is ready for powerful gaming setups, offering 360 radiator options in the top and front while having plenty of space for full-length GPUs, multiple HDD and SSD locations, and a vertical GPU mounting option.all in all, nothing really bad what i would class as a pretty good product, have certainly worked on a lot worse cases on regular basis... Phanteks has a history of delivering value and performance with its cases, as evidenced by the Eclipse P360A that’s been our favorite budget ATX gaming case for well over a year. But its time in that spot has now passed, as Phanteks has delivered a better option with the Eclipse G360A. The Phanteks Eclipse G360A brings all the features that a modern midi tower must have. The case is cleanly finished and comes with three fans pre-installed from the factory. Together with the mesh front panel, this allows for high airflow and very good cooling. Other positive features include the spacious interior and the hardware compatibility that comes with it. With both air and water cooling, you hardly have to worry about compatibility with the G360A. Like its older sibling, the P360A, the G360A features a big mesh front panel. But this time Phanteks added some personality by stamping a design on it that looks like something between a U and a V. Not everyone is going to love it, but at the very least it looks less plain than the front of the P360A. There’s still no real front fan filter here, which can be an issue. But so long as you regularly pop off the front to clean the mesh and the fans and blow out the interior of the case a couple of times a year, you should be fine. That said, if you live in an area with lots of dust or pollen in the air, you may want to pay more for a case with an easily removed dust filter. Internal Layout of the Phanteks G360A
