About this deal

At first it is clean and soapy, bright aldehydes, crisp starched white shirt and then it shifts, and you begin to smell a flower garden, ylang, ylang, daffodils, tulips, red roses, jasmine, and pink camellias.

And it all started when I bought it without testing, just by reading the beautiful story of the fragrance. Colors that this perfume give off to my nose are yellow, pale gold, white, off white, beige, light blue, violet, and lime green. I really love this version and if you are a fan of Arpege, it is one I highly recommend you pick up before it completely disappears off the market. Arpege was created by perfumer Andreé Fraysse and takes the name from the arpeggio, the notes of a chord played in rapid succession.

I bought this 3 years ago because I heard it resembled chanel no 5 and apparently it was a great scent. This starts off instantly sweet with a dash of peach and citrus and a zesty refreshing start especially on the spray version. Not to sound like a snob but this is an old school aldehyde that to a newbie inexperienced nose will receive the dreaded "o l d l a d y" comment and scrunched nose. Rare++ Druzy Uvarovite Gemstone Natural Uvarovite Cabochons Handmade Uvarovite top quality Loose stone 50Cts. The adored Marguerite told her dear mother Jeanne Marie Lanvin: that the fragrance sounded like an arpeggio.

Although this perfume contains a stunning explosion of florals, I find the first notes of Arpege give me a strange high - there is more than a hint of "virgin plastic" - about the smell; something to do with the mix of aldehydes and lily of the valley. It becomes sweeter and sweeter and the amber shows an animalic side, which is not bad, but I don't find it very flattering, even though you can only feel the dirtiness only from close up. I think I'm going to change my rating from Like to Love because anything that makes me so discursive on a topic I know so little about seems pretty significant. The fragrance is composed of such notes as aldehydes, peach, bergamot, orange blossom, honeysuckle, iris, rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, coriander, mimosa, tuberose, geranium, sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, vanilla and musk.

To me, it is the perfect perfume to be worn in all seasons, during all times of the day, if you want to be noticed. But, since it belongs to aldehydic fragrances, first of all, it needs to settle after being opened, and secondly, the top notes are very sharp (these are aldehydes), so it needs time to unfold! She dedicated her unique fragrance to her daughter Marguerite, capturing a mother’s love for her child. Middle notes: Camellia, coriander, iris, lily, jasmine, ylang-ylang, Lily of the valley and rose geranium.

If I'm anxious it brings me in an enchanted wood and the wind lulls me with whiffs of vanilla and benzoin. In the heart there are: rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, coriander, sensitive plant, tuberose, violet, and geranium. Because there is no decorative packaging, we can purchase these items for less and pass the savings on to you. Reincarnating the sophistication of families of French upper classes of the 20s, crucial for the fashion industry in the country decade. To me, it is an absolutely beautiful and enchanting scent and awards the same class and terrific lasting power as Number 5.The woody notes creep in as it begins to dry down, rich and nutty, grounding and complementing the florals to perfection. It is more radiant up top, but quickly becomes very soapy, with (curiously) more limited performance than the modern EDP. Don't mistake me, I love an unusual scent (think turps, tarmacadam, motor oil and creosote) and the new dolly accord is actually quite addictive, so that first hit is the best. My nose being used to perfumes with a lot more character, this one disappoints me a bit, but it has its place in my collection as a classic of this great house.

If I try very hard I can almost pick out peach but it is gone just as quickly as I think I smell it. It's the quintessential grandma perfume, maybe in the 1930s women would want to smell like this or maybe my nose is too accustomed to the weirdness and sometimes magic that niche parfumery bestows upon their fragrances, I don't know, but this is desperately simple in my opinion. The opening is insanely aldehydlic, and honestly, I don't feel like I'm capable of fully appreciating it yet. In fact, a lot of women's fragrances from the 1900's are strong and masculine enough for men to wear in the 2000's. Originally launched in 1927 and relaunched in 1993 this feminine scent contains a blend of high floral notes combining honeysuckle, jasmine, roses and orange blossoms with base notes of vanilla and sandalwood.

A glossy black box with gold foil stamping encases this luxurious and intimidating black spherical bottle with fluted gold cap. She’ll pop champagne for any occasion, slap someone with her gloves and then give them a kiss on the cheek as they depart. All are blooming and new then the shift begins again, and the flowers and fruits are a bit too ripe and going off. On my skin, contemporary floral fruity mainstream turns out in really ugly cheap way, but Arpege become much more beautiful on my skin than on the clothes. Olfactory pyramid starts with green lilac and Sicilian lemon leaves, notes full of optimism and energy, which give way to a haunt England soft heart, hand floral notes like green tea leaves, peach petals, red peony and Chinese osmanthus.
