Machine washable with cold water, no dryer, no iron What I did was sew 8 button holes on each drapery panel. Shower curtain liners have 12 holes so at first I made 6 holes on each side and spaced them equal distance (8.5″) apart. Then I went to put the drapery panel on the rod and had two floppy ends. So I added two button holes on each end for a total of 8 button holes. Where the drapes hit the tub, the liner goes on the inside and the curtain goes outside. When closed, it works just fine as a shower curtain. Lots of showers have happened in here since the room was completed and even though the liner was cut in half- it still works great at keeping water out. If you absolutely love the look of your fabric shower curtain and don't want to compromise its aesthetic with a plastic liner, then consider using a fabric liner. A fabric liner won't draw the eye away from the shower curtain at all and it will serve its purpose. Is A Fabric Or Plastic Shower Liner Better?

If you have pets or children, you should be warned in advance that these types of curtains are harder to clean and dirt or stains will leave a longer lasting impression. Most of them, however, are machine washable. Where plastic liners really shine is in their waterproof quality. Plastic liners are completely waterproof (more on that later), so they will do a better job at keeping your floor dry and your shower curtain protected.The second option is to buy drapes and then use a normal shower curtain liner. The beauty of using a drape or curtain is that they come in longer lengths so you can fill the whole space between the floor and the ceiling.
