Petrified Forest has many areas with beautiful names such as Crystal Forest, Rainbow Forest and Jasper Forest. Despite the names, you will not find trees. The scenery is surreal between the petrified logs and the multi-colored layered dunes. You will learn a lot about history between the petroglyphs, Pueblo dwellings, geological formations and Route 66. Just as a waterfall grows slower and more lightly suspended as it plunges down, so the great man of action tends to act with greater calmness than his tempestuous desires prior to the deed would lead one to expect.” This place is quite the spectacle and one I highly recommend that you visit. In Petrified Forest, there are two great photo opportunities that pay homage to this magical road to the past. There is a Route 66 sign and a rusted body of an old Studebaker. It was also interesting to learn that Crystal Forest used to be an actual forest, much like the rainforest of Costa Rica, millions of years ago during the Triassic Period. As Pangea broke apart, the North American continent drifted northward. Also, the Colorado Plateau uplift slowly, raising this area about a mile above sea level. This is why the park is so arid now. Embarrassingly, I first read the map as Jawa Point. I had visions in my head of short, humanoid beings in brown hooded robes running through the desert collecting droids.

As I didn’t make it to FoodLooplast year, I stopped therefor lunch on this trip. It’s a restaurant which delivers your meal by rollercoaster! Pure novelty… but genius none the less. FoodLoop Restaurant at Europa-Park, GermanyPuerco Pueblo is a .3 mi loop along the remains of a 100 room dwelling that was inhabited by Puebloans over 600 years ago. This is a short, easy walk on a paved path. The views were amazing!! The staff was great and knowledgeable. For time, it was an all day experience. Ours included transportation. If you don’t get transportation then go early to beat the lines. There’s a bar at the bottom and all the way at top of the mountain. She dares me to pour myself out like a living waterfall. She dares me to enter the soul that is more than my own; she extinguishes fear in mere seconds. She lets light come through.” Everyone was so nice and welcoming. They had the cutest animals and it was just an overall amazing experience.
