About this deal

You can color this monster with any colors you want. Try using bright, cheery hues like pinks, purples and blues to make it extra fun. You could give it rainbow stripes or polka-dotted fur for a whimsical look. Not all monsters have fur, arms, and legs. This sad little monster is made entirely out of slime and has two big scary horns. The monster should be laminated to its front using a thin cardboard box and a hole cut out where the mouth is.

Start this fun craft with one half of a paper plate to which a straw is stapled. The straw is the “handle” for the glasses and should be stapled on the right or left side. This big monster looks amazed, I wonder what he saw in the distance? Maybe an even bigger monster coming towards him? What shades could we use to color this monster printable? Green is always a good choice when coloring monsters, but we can get creative with other options. These feelings monster writing activities are a lovely way to encourage children to practise mark making and writing as they learn about feelings and emotions. This monster looks like he had a pretty bad day. By his frown and the way he holds his arms, something definitely bothered him. He even has two big fangs out! Two pipe cleaners should then be pushed into the bottom of the cube, and the remaining parts fashioned into spirals to create hilarious legs.

The Feelings Monster Pattern Tracing Activity - Invite children to practise pencil control as they trace over the dotted lines shown on the monsters with this handy Feelings Monster Pattern Tracing Activity. Children can also be encouraged to talk about how they think the monsters are feeling, while they work on their fine motor skills. You can ask them to use coloured pencils to trace over the lines to match a colour to how the monster is feeling. For example, the happy monster could be decorated using yellow pencils and for the angry monster, children could use red pencils. Now, when we hear slime, we automatically think of green, and this monster would indeed look cool colored in green and with red horns, but we can also use other color combinations. He could be living in a swamp or in another realm, so let’s see how we could add a fantasy touch when coloring him. Your children can keep their new bookmark in the classroom, to save their space in their textbooks, or they can take theirs home to use in their book they are currently reading. Hopefully the monster bookmarks won’t give them nightmares before bed though! Colouring is a significant way of improving a broad range of skills in young children.
