Some very highly rated mafia romances make absolutely zero sense from the mafioso’s perspective (making really dumb security decisions or just connections to the mafia life that are completely implausible). I was horrified when it was described and especially how her mother/father knew about it all and what she was being forced to do and yet they didn't care and believed it to be his wifely duties. I felt so many emotions for her when she was on her own, penniless and terrified of what to do next.She was forced to marry her father's best soldier and during the 2 months they were married he made her do horrific acts that will never leave her. Alsooo the ins and outs of the mafia world were soo in depth like , Gabrielle are you in the Mafia 😅😅😅? The side characters were interesting and I can't wait for the second book's release cuz I'm going to eat it up .

When She Unravels is a dark mafia romance that I thought was okay, but the potential is there, especially with the characters, our heroine, who I wish was much more developed. When she unravels is a perfect well paced mafia romance story with dual povs and the right amount of spice that'll leave you sweating balls .

Liked the characters, a couple decent 🔥 scenes, overarching plot and existing character development! stars, rounded up because I’m stoked she started in the h’s POV, and this hero never once said he’d like to choke her with his c*ck. OKAY SO there was a few cringy moments in this book (lol) HOWEVER WE ARE GOING TO OVERLOOK THAT because the storyline was actually really fun and intriguing? I was immediately sucked into Valentina’s plight and her strength and will to survive was something to behold.
