About this deal

We say: We do like a pun, especially a tasty pun. Sweet and sour cherry fortified with gin notes and delicate notes of mint and chocolate.

The competition will be judged by Simon Difford (of this manor), Max de Smit (Global Brand Ambassador), Arno van Eijmeren (founder of Barrelproof Company) and Yolanda Báez (Darling Rooftop Bar, New York). If you look for a fitting garnish, you can go with lemon wheels or peels and a (Stevens) cherry. The history With: Luxardo Sour cherry gin, white crème de menthe, Cherry Heering cherry brandy, lemon juice and chocolate bitters. Serve the liqueur straight up in a chilled liqueur glass. Serve it with just one small piece of dark chocolate and slowly indulge in the rich bittersweet flavors. Discard the cherries and allow the syrup to cool down to room temperature. Cover the container and place it in the fridge to chill for four hours. Once it is chilled, transfer the cherry syrup to your preferred storage container. Flavoured simple syrup will last for in your refrigerator for up to a month.

Marashino liqueur will impart less of a cherry flavour with the addition of subtle herbal notes and a slight bitterness.
