About this deal

The X-Men resurfaced in Australia, where they defeated the Reavers. They claimed their base and teleporter, Gateway, a mute, mutant Aborigine with the ability to create gates with his bull roarer. Roma appeared and presented them with the Siege Perilous, a gem that created a portal which granted any person who walked through its judgment and a new chance at life, with a new career, home, and so forth and had magically made them invisible to any sort of mechanical perception. Sometime later, Cyclops offered Rogue the chance to once again form her own X-Men team, and she led them to victory over the Children of the Vault and other threats. Soon afterwards, Pandemic reemerged and captured Rogue. He then injected her with a virus called Strain 88, which was designed to let him steal Rogue's powers. However, the virus nearly claimed Rogue's life and made her touch fatal to others. Rogue's subsequent exposure to the alien threat known as the Hecatomb left her nearly insane. During an invasion of aliens from another dimension, Rogue begged Sage to use her jump-starting powers to evolve Rogue to a point where she could control all of the various powers inside of her. Sage agreed, and Rogue became a one-woman army, able to use the powers of anyone she had absorbed in the past, exhibiting a multitude of powers at once.

Rogue and Gambit return to the X-Men as part of Marvel's X-Men Reload. Over time, Rogue's own abilities return, although exactly how and when is never revealed or discussed. However, she no longer possesses the abilities she absorbed from Ms. Marvel. Rogue and Gambit are both put on Havok's team and participated in various missions. [51] The issue in which Rogue joins the X-Men Uncanny X-Men #171 was voted the 49th greatest Marvel Comic of all time. Lealos, Shawn S. (2019-06-27). The Avengers Unity Squad has become a second family for Rogue. She shared a bond with Human Torch and Deadpool, and she became much friendlier with Wasp, Thor, and other members of her team she once fought against. However, Rogue's antagonistic relationship with Scarlet Witch remains tense.

The more Rogue uses her mutant power, the more her mind becomes filled with fragmentary psychic echoes of the people she absorbs. [24] The permanently absorbed Carol Danvers (Ms. Marvel) is a completely distinct, albeit dormant, personality in her head, and Mastermind subtly exacerbates Rogue's psychological distress as a means of revenge against Mystique. [25] Desperate, Rogue turns to Professor Charles Xavier and the X-Men for help. [26] [27] The Professor is unable to do a psychic scan of her, due to the clashing human and Kree portions of her psyche, but nonetheless decides to not only welcome her into the school, but make her a probationary member of the X-Men. The X-Men threaten to leave the school should Rogue be accepted, even though none of the active members aside from Storm and Nightcrawler had even met Rogue before. However, Xavier is adamant and convinces the X-Men to stay. [4] [28] In "What If Rogue possessed the power of Thor?", Rogue accidentally permanently absorbed Thor when she and Mystique attempted to break the Brotherhood out of prison, resulting in her killing most of the Avengers and the Brotherhood when she was unable to cope with Thor's power. Although Loki attempted to manipulate her into waging war on Asgard after she was able to lift Thor's hammer, the sight of Odin's genuine sense of loss allowed Thor's remnants to manifest in her subconscious, affirming that he was an ideal as well as a person, allowing Rogue to inherit his power and position as she became the new Thor. [250] When Emplate returned to find mutants to feed on, Rogue volunteered to enter his base and try to stop him, despite Gambits protests. Rogue finally managed to defeat him and saved Bling! who had been taken captive by Emplate. Thomas* has been living in a flat in east London for almost four years. He previously shared the home with four other tenants and is the last person remaining. Last year, he was told to vacate the property by December 2022 without a formal eviction notice being served. He has not been able to find another home and has remained there. As a result, he said, his landlord has been playing “psychological mind games” with him. The team meets up with Wolverine in Tokyo, where his betrothed, Mariko Yashida, greets Rogue with greater warmth than she had received from her own teammates. [29] This kindness later motivates Rogue to take a fatal laser blast to shield Mariko. Feeling indebted to her for saving his fiancée, Wolverine offers to transfer his healing power to her to save her life. She refuses, arguing that it might kill him, but this only serves to gain his trust, and Wolverine touches her to transfer his power anyway. [30] [31] Soon after, she gains the full trust of the rest of the team by using her power on a severely injured Colossus, willingly leaving herself in the same rigid, melted form as he was to allow Healer to heal his wounds. [32]Rogue traveled to Muir Island, where she fell under the control of the Shadow King. As her powers returned, she and the X-Men defeated the Shadow King, and she rejoined the team. [53] During this conflict, she had her first encounter with the new X-Man called Gambit, while they were both under the Shadow King's influence. The uninhibited and corrupting influence of Farouk led to them making out. When the mind control ended, Gambit remembered their encounter, but Rogue did not, leading to an awkward encounter afterwards. [54] In an alternative future featured in the series X-Men: The End, Rogue and Gambit are married and have two children named Olivier and Rebecca "Becca" LeBeau. Rogue has also gained complete control over her abilities in this timeline. This Rogue defeats Shaitan and rescues her children from the Neverland Camp, but was ultimately killed by Mister Sinister when he was disguised as Gambit.
