About this deal

I could spend the rest of forever with you and it still wouldn’t be enough time to finish everything I have planned for us.” This was a cookie cutter romcom that fit every box, it was emotional, romantic, there's some miscommunication trope (twice to 3 times), sex after 60%, a little bit of a slow-burn and a happy ending. Szeretlek.” He presses his lips against my forehead. My pulse flutters at the gesture, sending a rush of pleasure all the way to my toes. The side plot- Dreamland park. Now this is where the author gained some points from me. The romance was so bad, that the development of the park seemed much more entertaining to me.

The billionaire just had to take her on a private jet to NYC, otherwise it won't be a rich guy romance. (That one I'm willing to let go of). I read somewhere online that sans serif fonts are easier for people with dyslexia to read, so I changed my requirements. Forced everyone else I oversee to switch with me or else they would face my wrath. All because I wanted to help you.”

Books Multibuys

ZAHRA A GIRLBOSS, I loved her so much. We don't get women as strong and as independent as her in fiction very often. AND I NEVER GET TIRED OF THESE CHARACTERS. She's this bright and intelligent person who took hardships in life and used them as a weapon to make herself a better person. THE FAVORITE PART OF THIS BOOK for me was Zahra's relationship with her sister Ani. And Ani was my favorite character. I have a soft spot for disability rep in fiction and THIS ONE was executed so well! I wouldn't say that any of the dialogue she was involved in was very realistic, but I can forgive that one. By the time the auctioneer steps away from the podium, I’ve spent over fifty-million dollars solely for the rush I get whenever Iris smiles. Always having an imaginative streak, Lauren Asher would focus on her love of reading and writing from a very early age. This passion of hers would develop over time, allowing her to essentially become the full-time novelist she’d always wanted to become. Refining and honing her craft throughout the intervening years, she’d come to establish her own unique voice with its distinct style and tone. It was predictable that Zahra was going to be pissed when she found out about Scott actually being Rowan, but it's always fun to watch heroes chase after heroines like puppy dogs so it's both good and bad. Though, after Zahra found out and her and Rowan made up it brought this incredible line In short, I think Declan is a much more complex character than Rowan, with more real fears and anxieties that justify his cold and harsh behavior.

and hands down, Rowan and Anis interactions were the superior parts of this book. i will die on this hill!!

Christmas Gifts

He blew up on our girl Iris for something so small. Her reaction had me laughing a bit too. Without giving anything away... I found it a bit unbelievable on both ends, but Declan always redeems himself. Being inside their minds means you witness firsthand all of the growth Declan makes internally throughout the book. Until a woman blinks at them or whatever and they lose all control of their emotions. How does that make sense. Especially with Declan and Iris since they’ve known each other for years and now all of the sudden he’s always been in love with her. No, you weren’t? Why change the story halfway through the book? I’ve always prided myself on the ability to remove my emotions from any kind of business decision.”

When it comes to the couple, Declan is by far the better one. Even though he presents a tough exterior, he's a marshmallow at heart for Iris. He's ready to open up, try new things just for her. He's willing to put in effort and that's so sexy in a man. The only off putting thing about him that I found was when he thought of Iris's ass as "globes". I found it creepy, immediately made me put the book down for the day *bleh*. It was giving women written by men vibes. Honestly, Lauren Asher should know better being a woman herself. It's disgusting 😭😭 OVERALL THOUGHTS Lauren Asher really said COPY AND PASTE. This book was the exact copy of The Fine Print. The only terms and conditions that I see were "You are obliged to use the exact same formula, an identical male love interest, just switch the names and use the fake marriage trope". So don't mind this review being repetitive, I had no choice. Again like with The Fine Print, the idea was good, the execution not so much. And now I'm wondering, how did it happen that I had enjoyed Throttled that much??? This book could have objectively been rated even lower, but you know, I'm trying to not be so harsh. The beginning of this book was pretty nice, I liked the opening chapter... and since it was Iris's POV, I noticed the pattern. Everytime the story was told from her perspective, it became more bearable. But then a Declan chapter would come (almost wrote Rowan), and everything would go downhill again. Plot points were nice, I like how these books have actual things happening in terms of work and life not tightly connected to romance. So yes, romance was the biggest issue here. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THESE TWO PEOPLE FELL IN LOVE. I said the same in my The Fine Print review, and that statement works here as well. Again, I must confess, I have grasped a bit more chemistry from Iris and Declan (Rowan 2.0) than Zahra and Rowan (Rowan the Original). Still, it's nowhere NEAR a good relationship. And maybe you are wondering, why didn't you rate the book 1 star if you didn't like it? pre- review: lol this book has seriously messed with my head! one minute, i'm like, "nah, i don't want them to be together," and the next minute, i'm like, "damn, i want them to hook up!" rtc

Creative Play

Between Zahra’s belly laughing, Iris’s wheezy laughing, 2 men who mostly refuse to smile at all cost and 85 children by that time, it’s going to be a hoot. I don’t know the story of brother 3 yet, but honestly, is it going to make this family more sane? I’m not holding my breath.

I did however liked Ani, Zahra's sister. She was full of life and so so easy to like and read about. Claire and Rowan's brothers were there too and that's pretty much about them. This is VERY similar to the hating game and the love hypothesis, if you loved those, you are going to enjoy this. i will tell you why this book exhausted me so much— the contradictions. the first one being, this is supposed to be a slowburn. and it is... in a way. but the insta-lust definitely undermines the slowburn aspect – like they kiss for the first time around the 20% mark? BITCH WHAT never in my life have I felt this offended! Morally gray characters are fuming right, they didn’t do all of what they had to do, so this girl could come and insult them. THE AUDACITY. THE ONLY GRAY THING ABOUT ROBERTO IS THE ASH WHEN I BURN THIS BOOK DOWN. Declan legit could have been talking about this book bcos yes, he and Iris did the same exact thing constantly again and again, just like that damn tv show. but unlike Iris, i couldn’t read any more without getting bored. well, bored is an understatement.Being the heir to his family’s media empire, Declan is the CEO of a major legacy, but his grandfather’s will stipulates that he must marry and have an heir of his own. His assistant Iris then volunteers for the job, and the position seems simple at first; get married and have a baby together. They’re not supposed to fall in love, that is until a passion between them both begins to grow, one that they desperately try to fight off. Will they both end up together finally, is Declan going to continue his family’s legacy, and just what are the terms and conditions? One more thing, disability representation is everything in these books. It makes me so happy to see conditions like Down Syndrome and dyslexia in popular fiction. Firstly Rowan , the love interest and pov no 2. To be plain , I just didn’t like him and once you don’t like or respect the main characters then that’s it for the book I guess . He was cold , rude , presumptuous and arrogant (not in the normal sense either )He was a JERK . Zara had this to say while they were together: You also get to see a soulless capitalist man turn into a socialist, a guy who cares about his employees, because of pussy but still... it's a pretty big step.
