All the Onyx Studio speakers sound great but they all have battery issues. Harman Kardon really needs to start using some stronger batteries. Onyx Studio 5 will deliver 7-8 hours at 40-50% volume but only 3 hours at full volume which is not impressive. Stronger battery, like the one inside JBL Extreme (10,000mAh), would make Onyx Studio 5 so much better. That shouldn’t be such a big problem, especially when you know that both Harman Kardon and JBL are part of the same company. Combining HK sound and design with JBL batteries (and waterproof materials) would be a winning combination. You can get the speakers to play in Stereo mode by pressing and holding the Play button on both speakers for five seconds . The 120mm woofer and 2x 25mm tweeters deliver good audio quality with strong bass capabilities and its 8-hour battery is decent.
