Aimed at the 9+ age range, the Dork Diaries series is easily the best available for girls of that age. It would make me sick if I discovered that this character was in any way based off of a real person because whoever it is desperately needs psychological analysis. Really, I think they should just be mandatory reading - Nikki Maxwell is a great character to read about and is the best Dork around! After a few nervous sputters, Nikki ultimately asks Brandon if he would go to the Sweetheart Dance with him. It tries to tell these stories that, from what I can tell, are trying to exist in the realms of reality but are just painful to read the author stumbles through the text trying to be humorous.

I felt SO insanely happy I could just… VOMIT sunshine, rainbows, confetti, glitter, and… um… those yummy little Skittles candy thingies! Nikki gets a note from her friends and believes they want to discipline her for the lame gifts she gave them. With Diary of a Wimpy kid, the cover and the illustrations portray a not very attractive, indifferent pre-teen who is, as soon as you see him, not a perfect guy. When you see books with hearts on the front cover,get ready because it is going to be pretty tragic. I really do love it and would have absolutely adored it when I was younger - funny books have always been a favourite of mine and they still are now.

I think that lightning was captured in a bottle with Diary of a Wimpy Kid, beautifully illustrating the inner frustrations and thought process of the youth of the western world but DD is just a failure in all ways Diary of a Wimpy Kid was successful. But she really didn't have to wait because right then and there, their heads popped out of the bookshelves and they both said, "Hi. Suggested for all those who liked Wimpy Kid Series, it's similar to that but from a girl's point of view.

She thought everyone would think she was cool wearing the floatie but everyone just stared at her and giggled.It's unofficially Valentine's Day at WCD and Nikki doesn't want to talk to Brandon about what had been going on. And as I said earlier, this little sub-story has absolutely nothing to do with the overall story and it doesn’t even make very much sense that they are having a swim class in early February. She is, most undeniably, the character that is meant to be related to and always feels justified in all of her acts and yet is filled with such wickedness. It was Nikki's reaction when she is asked out by Brandon: "After dancing for an entire hour, I was so tired I could barely breathe. WHY did all of this have to happen just when Brandon and I were about to have our very first date-that-really-isn’t-a-date ?

Greg in DOAWK was obviously sometimes having some inner turmoil when he did something bad and if not, he did get in some sort of trouble for it. And then of course MacKenzie, who actually had the phone, went to the garbage can and looked for it herself. She shows her one of the posters with Nikki's bad hair photo, one that she forgot, and it's revealed that Brandon was responsible for putting the poster up in the first place. Also, Nikki tries to ask Brandon, but he's on a field trip with the photography staff at a local newspaper community.

Although without her dad's scholarship she would have never met her new best friends Chole and Zoey.
