About this deal

Behind her the beginning of a small green forest and a huge magnolia tree that immersed her in the darkness of its shadow.

I enjoy aromatherapy and was drawn to this fragrance because it reminds me of a natural wellness center where they use pure essential oils for their massages. With great silage and projection, the depth is incredible and the lifespan feels like it lasts forever. This is how I perceive Aromatics Elixir, just a complete reverie for mother nature in a distinctly 1970s way.

So my memory of Aromatics Elixir from a few years ago is that it smelled vaguely like Chinese patent medicine. If it's true that the current formulation is pretty close to as it was in years gone by, then damn, what a bold move from Clinique. I came to perfume via aromatherapy and essential oils, my love for sensory adventures morphing into a quest for olfactory fulfilment.

Crisp7 Smells unpleasant after wearing a while Bought this as a treat for myself after traumatic time moving home. I wore this in middle school and early High school after loving it on my Mom's friend, and recently blind bought it because I wanted it in my collection as an adult. It is reserved for the evening as such a strong, chypre, oakmoss, patchouli, incense and florals filled perfume is simply best enjoyed alone. Because the incense and oakmoss notes are not too heavy on my skin (compared to application on fabrics), I think I might be able to pull Aromatics Elixir off in warmer weathers because I like wearing herbal scents that are light and bitter in the summer. The opening can be a challenge, and when people talk about this one as "old", it must be the aldehydes they refers to. If this being had a message for us from across that cosmic ocean of emptiness, it would surely reach us after its death. I don't know if I have the balls to wear something as strong as this, but the scent profile is pleasant enough for anyone to wear.

also: aromatics elixir happens to be one of those perfumes old women actually *do* wear (if for no other reason than that they wore it when they were young women. There's no other chypre that really has the olfactory effects of this one; and I've rarely come across a fragrance so memorably and enjoyably funky (one spritz would be more than enough for anyone; anything more would be overpowering).Leila Not the same product as always My aunt had been wearing this parfum since 20 years and I loved it. The powdery floral heart emerges after a little while, led by heady, sweet ylang ylang and big, powdery rose. it's not my favorite perfume because I'm more of a gourmand girly, but its really nice and i like it! This is such a beautiful fragrance, and just like everyone else, I have such beautiful memories with this fragrance. Definitely very woody, clean, you can't stop inhaling it, almost like a kind of medicine that you inhale when you have a cold.

when I tried it on my first thought was "wow, that's strong," quickly followed by "wow, I've definitely smelled this before.Currently I can only wear the body lotion, half a pea amount and this way I can almost get away with it…. The oakmoss is still there but now it’s more potent; the inky saltiness is back and it smells more like proper oakmoss. it lasts ages, and like I mentioned, it's strong, so use a light hand if you don't want your perfume to enter the room before you do. It reminds me of those women when I was a young teen/teenager that I saw on TV in their shoulder pad power suits running to catch the subway to go to work in some office. I absolutely adore it but I came into it with the same mentality that I find myself in surrounding vintage fragrances.
