About this deal

Thanks: My thanks to Emma at #damppebblestours for the invite to join the blog tour for The Rift and for an eCopy of the book from Canelo. This really is fabulous international thriller full of tension and twists and it races along to an explosive conclusion I loved the book it was different and very compulsive and I found myself completely immersed in the story. I love this series ! I think I’ve read all the books in it by now so am fully invested in the lives of the team. The characters are believable and likeable . My only problem with the book? I’ve finished it and have to wait for the next instalment!’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reader review

She has moved in with her Mum. But she really doesn't get on with her sister Nikki. Nikki has always been favourite and Kelly believes Nikki is minipulating her mother for her own gains. The dynamics are brilliant. Sibling rilvary at its best! Meanwhile, two young hikers go missing and it’s up to Kelly to lead the search. But digging deeper reveals ties to other unsolved disappearances and Kelly and her team are in a race against time. Kelly has all the pieces to solve the puzzle, but to put them together she must confront a figure from her past: one who nearly destroyed all that she holds dear. Will she avoid the same fate this time, or can the killer stay one step ahead of her to the bitter end? Soon after, a brutal murder is committed and sinister markings at the scene indicate that the killer had a message. The investigation reveals that in the beautiful Lake District there are those who believe in ancient ways, and within those circles old resentments are spilling over into terrible violence.

Twisted spellbindingly brilliant read you will be missing out on such a good book if you don’t read this one. Audaciously Brilliant’ Reader review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When it is learned that the helicopter had been tampered with, Kelly and her team can’t afford to make a single mistake. Who was the intended victim, and why? With the scrutiny of the government, the public and the press on her, just how confident can she be that the trail of evidence is leading her to the right conclusion? I just LOVE this series and this latest novel did not disappoint. Gritty, suspenseful and full of action with DI Kelly Porter at the top of her game... A well deserved 5 stars , cant wait for the next instalment!' NetGalley Reviewer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helen finds everything secure, but she is pulled from that job by the British ambassador to work with Interpol on the kidnapping of the son of an international businessman. Rachel Lynch is a very talented crime writer who **knows just how to keep her audience glued to every word !’ Reader review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a gritty detective novel, with a good lead character that has plenty of opportunities to develop further in future novels. A very good read and I would recommend it. One icy cold morning, the remains of a woman are discovered. She has been abused, then butchered. DI Kelly Porter knows this is the work of a monster. One who has killed before – and will do so again. Kelly puts everything she has into finding justice for both victims. The only thing she hadn’t anticipated was a traitor in the ranks. When the evidence points to someone in her team, Kelly has to put feelings aside and work the case – no matter where it leads. By the time it is over, nothing in her world will ever be the same… Kelly’s mother and sister still live in the Lake District and Kelly has thought that her sister, Nikki, was the preferred “perfect” daughter. She stayed close to her parents and settled down while Kelly ran away to London when her father, an ex-policeman, passed away. The relationship between the sisters is fantastically written and I’m sure will strike a chord with many readers. This book has it all, murder, violence, prison life and military involvement. I read it in one sitting.' NetGalley Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rachel Lynch prevails again and is fast becoming one of my favourite female sleuth writers... This book will keep you riveted’ **Reader review **⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rachel Lynch has been on my radar for quite some time as I have gradually been collecting her DI Kelly Porter novels but unfortunately I haven't read any of them yet. The author's outstanding reputation drew me to The Rift before I had even read the blurb and I have to say that this book is even better than I expected. I really enjoyed reading Dark Game and I think that Rachel Lynch is top of her league in the British Crime Thriller genre. The quality writing made this a gripping thriller which had a great plot. What an absolutely brilliant book this was the action just never let up and it was a read that grabbed me right from the start ... amazing writing from Rachel Lynch.Thank you to Rachel Lynch, Canelo, and NetGalley for the advance copy in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed reading this book, even though parts were difficult to read due to the subject matter.
