Being Frank: Sean Chapman on Hellbound - archival interview about the actor’s return to the role of Frank Cotton Kirsty, Larry's teenage daughter, sees Julia bringing a man to the house and follows her to the attic, where she finds Frank. She evades Frank and escapes with the puzzle box, collapsing shortly after. Awakening in a hospital, Kirsty solves the box out of curiosity, and unknowingly summons the Cenobites and a monster called the Engineer, which she narrowly escapes from. The Cenobites' leader (referred to by fans as "Pinhead") explains that although they have been perceived as both angels and demons, they are simply "explorers" from another dimension seeking carnal experiences, and they can no longer differentiate between pain and pleasure. When they attempt to force Kirsty to return to their realm with them, she informs Pinhead that Frank has escaped them. The Cenobites agree to spare Kirsty and re-capture Frank instead, with the condition that Frank must confess to escaping them.

That Rat-Slice Sound - brand new appreciation of composer Christopher Young’s scores for Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser Ii by Guy Adams The Beauty of Suffering – brand new featurette exploring the Cenobites' connection to goth, fetish cultures and BDSM In the 1980s, Clive Barker changed the face of horror fiction, throwing out the rules to expose new vistas of terror and beauty, expanding the horizons for every genre writer who followed him. With Hellraiser, his first feature film as director, he did the same for cinema. That said, there are a couple of insurmountable issues when it comes to the film’s visuals. The first is the fairly early use of CG ‘morphing’ effects, with shots containing these seeing a drop-off in clarity and resolution. The other is the huge drop in quality (and change to 1.33:1 framing) that occurs when watching the additional scenes during the 'alternate unrated version' of the film that is also included on the disc. This is because the original 35mm elements for these sequences couldn't be found, meaning that a pan-and-scan LaserDisc was the best available video master... Hell has never looked better! Extras: What’s your pleasure? If you said bonus features, then this boxset is going to put a huge smile on your face.

Uncompressed PCM Stereo 2.0 and Lossless DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound for Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II

An important difference between the book and film versions — aside from the name — is that the film version of the box is merely twisted into new alignments or shapes, whereas the version in the novella is completely disassembled and reassembled. The film version is also trimmed in brass or gold, and appears to have arcane symbols etched on its surface. The novella version is completely smooth and has no obvious designs save for an almost imperceptible etching along the seams between the pieces, but seems to display the faces of its victims in the reflection of light over its surfaces. Unrated Version: (HD/SD 1:36:38) This cut of the film runs a few minutes longer but mostly only showcases some more blood and nudity. Since these extra scenes' original elements elements were missing, they were taken from a fullscreen LaserDisc so the quality notably shifts when they crop up, similar to how Scream Factory added scenes for their 'Exorcist III: Legion' cut, but of a decidedly higher quality. Carried over from previous releases are audio commentaries (two for each film); archival Making of… featurettes; numerous interviews; EPKs, trailers, TV spots and photo galleries. As mentioned above, we also get both the theatrical and uncut versions of Hellraiser III: Hell of Earth. The puzzle draws the player onward until suddenly the puzzle is solved and the gateway is opened. As the puzzle is nearly completed, the sound of a large bell can be heard tolling mournfully. The sound comes from the realm of the Cenobites, and announces their impending arrival. Once the gate is opened, the box begins reassembling itself.

Enchanted, she delved further. Though one piece had been removed, the rest did not come readily. Each segment presented a fresh challenge to fingers and mind, the victories rewarded with a further filigree added to the tune.
