About this deal

My point here is simply to point out that it's actually quite simple to create "a totally digital amplifier"... To be honest I was not surprised. if anything Chinese makers (not just audio) have been flooding the market with model after model with quite big overlap between those. I live in a condo so I could only test the system at low and medium volume (no more than 50-55 on the digital display) so I can’t comment about the power reserve of the amplifier that however seems more than enough to create irreversible problems with my neighbors. Even after 2 or 3 hours of listening at medium-low volume I would describe the temperature of the chassis as lukewarm. I never heard any noise coming from the cooling fan (either is very quite or has never been spinning). I also never heard any hum or hissing coming from the speakers (however I did not put my ear near the tweeters)

The SMSL VMV A2 (which should provide similar measurements to the Sabaj A30) has about 15% less power than the NC252MP (206 vs 236 watts) but with a better SINAD (particularly at 8 Ohm). It should be noted that the SMSL VMV A2 achieves these results using the optical input while the analogue one shows high noise below 50 Hz (maybe this problem has been solved for the Sabaj). Minimalist design although not everyone will like the gold Sabaj logo and the handles on the front plate All this to say that… I could ear no difference when switching from A to B the commuter on the SOLUPEAK P2 box. At first I was so surprised that the two amps sounded identical that I had to switch one of them off to make sure I didn't make any mistakes with the cable connections. Perhaps (I repeat, PERHAPS) the Sabaj is a little more "airy" in the medium frequencies but I wouldn't be willing to bet more than one Euro on this. Only at higher volumes I was able to hear a fuller sound (= with a bit of emphasis on the bass) from the Rotel with the DSP active (Stereo mode). The on/off issue may have been a fluke, I have turned the unit on an off with the remote, and have not discovered it in a state which I had not left it in. I may have jumped the gun on thinking that my amps are beaten by this thing, as I got some very good sound from the Topping E70 into the 1Ls and Magnepan .7s ( yes I currently have LRS too). For the test I used my Dali Zensor 3 bookshelf speakers (I had no time to switch them with my Elac Vela BS 403). I know the Dali are not considered “audiophile grade” however they perform pretty well in my room and are quite analytic on the mids and highs.

One question, it became hot in one hour. No sound issues for now. Fan is not rotating. But it feels approximately 40-50 °С, is it normal ? Thanks All aluminum alloy CNC processing technology, using anodizing technology, fine workmanship, first-class touch; It would be also useful to have the possibility to have as an option a full frequency range output for the SW I can confirm that the Sabaj A30a is a little jewel. You can get more info from users in this forum: www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/sabaj-a30a-announced.35714/However, I am not going to move the posts to off topic as I’m not sure the conversation is headed anywhere.

In my opinion, it plays at least on the level of a Fiio K9pro, but is much more versatile due to its setting options, remote control, volume separation between headphone amplifier and DAC… One thing first, the volume level is more like 65 to get 80ish db on the Magnepans. I had that wrong. As far as the volume issue, it is said to be fixed with the v1.12 version, which I have. This allows defeat, or 70 hz and up, that part is true. In practice, I have not had an issue with this. I did feel my subwoofer with the off position engaged, and I could feel it trembling, but I could not hear anything. I’m going to try some other gear in this manner to see if it is odd. I’m going to try another pair of speakers too, Era D14s. They are a relatively large 3 way with substantial bass. From what I can see this amplifier only has a LP filter on the subwoofer output but not a matching HP on the main output. What is the use of that? Doesn't Chinese manufacturers realise that all active subwoofers have a LP filter on them? Has anyone seen an active subwoofer that has no LP filter? Or, is that a speciality on the Chinese market.I did also BRIEFLY connected the Sabaj to my Elac Vela BS403 (that I usually drive with my Denon DRA800 H stereo receiver) and I cannot say I detected a significant improvement over the Denon (maybe the bass are a little bit more tight with the Sabaj than with the Denon). However this is a very preliminary analysis considering that I had to move the Velas on the other side of the room to connect them to the Sabaj. To your question, "Is there a significant improvement in perceptual/subjective sound characteristics?", my subjective opinion is yes.
