About this deal

Funny that, because even though I never met her again or even heard her say another word, I knew she had it bad. As well as I do not recommend this in a dark means, I manage psychological clients, and also this book is a fresh understanding on what the sexual relations of a private with particular concerns can be. I would have appreciated this story a lot more, and would have perhaps really enjoyed it, if he had ever shown any growth.

While this retrospection allows the narrator to reflect on various aspects of both his behavior and his relationships, it also is partially responsible for the disbelief the audience feels towards the narrative.Numerous of people have the interpretation that Paul Revere made this event happen by himself, but the novel it exposes every significant event and historic figure that he was not acting alone. He's not her equal in the "planning to destroy your life" department, but more in the "how much can I hurt someone and get away with it" strain. Rather, I obtained a book pertaining to a person that’s taken in with himself as well as additionally his task. I was absolutely shocked at the terrible ways in which the Oxygen Thief behaved and then was treated. There is also a lot of in-depth analysis required to fully understand the book, else the reader may get quite lost in the plot.

I’ve read some books with chapters very long that overwhelmed me; however the short chapters in this book helped me organize my thoughts of the story while reading and help process what I read. This novel isn’t worth a second of your time or an ounce of the credit you might give it for once being a “New York Times” bestseller. Eventually, he invites these women to his thirtieth birthday party but gets so drunk he cannot remember anything. The narrator references Dante’s Divine Comedy in the final pages, leading the audience to believe that the triple structure might mimic the classic text, albeit in an opposite manner: instead of ascending from Hell to Heaven, as it were, the narrator seems to believe he descends to Hell, substantiating his belief in the epic tragedy of his narrative. He goes through a series of women, essentially trying to get them to fall in love with him and then ignoring them/ghosting.While I thoroughly enjoyed The Diary of an Oxygen Thief and it wasn’t insanely difficult to read, it was just harder to read than the rest of the books for several reasons. It was really interesting to read from a narcissist sociopath's point of view, reading how his mind worked, how people like him think and react.

The second chapter details the narrator’s descent into and subsequently out of alcoholism, and his treatment of and then abstention from women, when he moves to Saint Lacroix. Here is what you get to look forward to after that stunning opening line: Our cheeky alcoholic Irish narrator explains, in acute detail, how he inflicts emotional abuse upon women, all the while subjecting you to his paranoiac delusions. Nonetheless, the novel is indeed fiction, as the author and the narrator are not the same individuals. I bought this book mainly on a whim but also because I am a victim of the kind of emotional manipulation that he inflicted on the girls in this story.
