This is because olive oil derived squalane can contain impurities such as fatty acids and plant waxes. Sugarcane derived squalane is recommended for anyone with malassezia concerns. Yes, I know, I’m posting this review a bit late (it’s September), but I sincerely think that a cream capable of reviving a completely dehydrated and suffering skin with a light and silky texture, can be appealing for a lot of people, even in autumn! Don’t worry about those little oil beads, by the way – they melt into the skin super fast, and without any sort of residue. It was, in fact, quite difficult to take a picture with them still intact, that’s how fast they disappear. Also, if you do have trypophobia, don’t let that deter you from using the cream! I suffer from this myself (it was a bit of an uncomfortable experience taking these texture shots…), but you really only see the little dots if you zoom in super closely or focus strongly on the cream’s texture while applying it, so this shouldn’t cause any triggering sensations with everyday use. In general, it's a fantastic ingredient. It does a great job at hydrating the skin, and it's suitable for those with sensitive skin.That’s the magic of this product!
