About this deal

NC943B includes an onboard 500mA rechargeable standby battery that will power the system for up to 24 hours standby and 15 minutes alarm running time. NC943B has a link-selectable Call Accept/Reset button; NC807C has a pull cord with two bangles to generate a call; NC809DBBT has a Reset button. In a typical disabled toilet alarm kit you'd expect to find a red ceiling pull cord with two bangles, a reset button with an integrated sounder and an external indicator with a sounder or combination sounder/flasher. The reset button should be suitably located, so that it can be reached by anyone using a wheelchair. The member of staff responding to the Alarm call presses the ‘Call Accept’ button on the Call Controller.

The position of these disabled toilet alarm components is very important to allow the alarm to be used effectively. For example, the bangles on the alarm pull cord should be spaced very specifically at 100mm from the floor and 800-1000mm from the floor – this allows either bangle to be reached in an emergency whether the occupant is sitting on the convenience or lying on the floor. The red Alarm LEDs and sounder on the NC806CS Overdoor Light c/w Sounder and the red ‘CALLING’ LED and Sounder on the NC943B Call Controller activate steady to let staff know someone is in need of assistance. It’s also critical that the pull cord for the alarm is located within easy reach and can be immediately identified as a disabled toilet call system, rather than a fire alarm (this also means that the sound has to be different to that of a fire alarm). Another product that is part of our Accessible Toilet Alarm range is our Multi Zone System which can accommodate more than one disabled toilet alarm system at a time with central indication of alarms. This method is normally deployed in larger buildings which have multiple disabled toilet facilities, changing rooms or interview rooms. Also, as well as sounding, the alarm should also have a light on it, to show the operator that the alarm has been successfully activated. A light coming on is essential for those who are deaf and additionally, the alarm must sound for those who are visually impaired, so that they can be sure that the alarm has indeed been triggered.

The red reassurance LED on the NC807C Ceiling/Wall Pull Unit and the red reassurance LED and sounder on the NC809DBBT Reset Point c/w Sounder activate steady to reassure the user the call has been registered. The red reassurance LED and sounder on the NC809DBBT Reset Point c/w Sounder activate intermittently (approx 1 second on, 5 seconds off) to let the user know help is on the way.

Disabled toilet alarms should be installed in any disabled WC in line with BS 8300 and the Equality Act 2010. Providing a reliable and effective means of raising an alarm is essential to allow disabled people on your premises to carry out their daily lives with confidence. All of our disable WC alarms are manufactured in accordance with the latest directives and are compliant with building regulations. W x 87 H x 93 D (NC943B); 87 W x 87 H x 68 D (NC806CS); 87 W x 87 H x 24 D (NC809DBBT). Ceiling/wall pull measures 93mm diameter x 27 D.NC807C & NC809DBBT have red Reassurance LEDs; NC806CS has twin red Alarm LEDs. NC943B has a red Alarm and green Supply Present LED; Once an alarm has been activated by pulling the cord two things happen; the external indicator alerts staff to the situation and the reset button situated within the room beeps continuously until it is reset. The beeping from the reset unit both indicates that the alarm has been successfully triggered and reassures the disabled person that assistance will be with them very soon. The Wireless Disabled Toilet Alarm equipment is ideal for a fast installation. This equipment can be installed without having to install any cables between the pull chord unit and sounder / beacon indicator device. Battery Powered Wireless Disabled Toilet Alarms Both of the devices that make up this range of equipment are powered by an internal battery. The transmitter unit uses a 9V alkaline type battery, whereas the sounder beacon receiver uses a 3.6V AA lithium battery as a power source. This means that there is no need to provide a mains power supply to this system. This saves time and costs in the installation of the system. The system monitors the batteries to ensure there is enough power in them to maintain an operational system. When the battery levels are getting low the receiver unit will beep to indicate that the batteries require changing. DDA Wireless Disabled Toilet Alarm System
