About this deal

Tahere is a Muslim female writer. So i wished had she made J. The white blond and Warner a POC.bec as it is, it showed her white man hero complex Besides the fact that the author stretched the story a bit too far, the title speaks for itself: this is not a sugar-coated series and is rather tragic. But the lessons to take from it stand powerful. This installment revitalizes the series, leaving readers on the edge of their seats and hungry for more as they witness Juliette’s transformation and the unraveling of the world she thought she knew. When Juliette Ferrars was just a girl she accidently murdered another young boy in a grocery store with an unexplainable power she could not and still not is capable of controlling. With one touch she is able of paralyzing and killing someone by stealing their energy. Although Juliette and the people around her are unable to understand her power, it does not stop individuals from fearing that said power. So as the book begins, Juliette has been trapped in an insane asylum for three years by The Reestablishment. With her sanity deteriorating due to seclusion and self-loathing everything begins to change when she meets up with a new cell mate named Adam Kent. Friend or Foe?

Buuuuuuuut Adam and Juliette? It's like if Feyre stayed with Tamlin instead of going to Velaris with Rhys in ACOMAF and through ACOWAR. Like, imagine that. It's a sinking ship. Biggs, Lacey. "Book Review: Shatter Me, by Tehereh Mafi". National Post . Retrieved 28 October 2014. I don’t wake up screaming anymore. I do not feel ill at the sight of blood. I do not flinch before firing a gun. Shatter Me was Mafi’s debut novel and was published when she was only 23 years old. The original trilogy went on to be translated into more than 30 languages and sell more than a million copies. The first two books are mediocre, 2 stars for Shatter Me and 3 for Unravel Me. Ignite me is by far the best of the triology, 4 stars. Destroy Me gets 3.5 and Fracture Me gets a measly 1.5 stars because Adam is just so BORING.

I am baffled by the fact that people find their relationship romantic. I am deeply saddened by the fact that "broken" characters somehow are given the okay to horrifically damage their partners in the name of love. As if the fact that they love this person makes it okay that they hurt them in these ways. I really have no updated review for this other than GODDAMN IT, IT STILL ENDED THE SAME WAY AND I NEED ANSWERS. thanks for attending my tedtalk. Defy Me” explores the complexities of identity, trust, and redemption, as the characters are pushed to their limits. With its heart-stopping twists, emotional revelations, and pulse-pounding action, this installment raises the stakes to unprecedented levels, leaving readers breathless and hungry for the epic conclusion to come. I only know that I was transported by someone in a white van who drove 6 hours and 37 minutes to get me here. I know I was handcuffed to my seat. I know I was strapped to my chair. I know my parents never bothered to say good-bye. I know I didn’t cry as I was taken away.

Kenji, who has grown up in the world before the Reestablishment took control, acts confused as if he doesn’t understand what’s going on, AKA even after the character is outed he doesn’t seem to understand that she’s a trans woman. I don’t understand the purpose of his line at all.

Mafi's writing is beyond refreshing and unique. It's something so hard to describe or even put into words, and I know that my review wont do it true justice. The Shatter Me series consists of SIX (6) books. In addition to the core series, there are also several novellas and companion books that provide further insights and perspectives within the Shatter Me universe. warner's inner monologue is......... everything. i mean that both literally because of its weight and meaningfulness, but also his sarcasm is perf As such, the romance in Shatter Me is all very PG-13. There is no smut or explicitly sexual content. Seven years later and this is still just as awful as I remembered. This first book is a hot, boiling ass mess and I will never understand the hype of it and why people tote it as the second coming. The writing is just above tolerable but the prose is laughably bad. Terrible, cheesy dialogue, a weak main character in Juliette and to top it off we get the bland bowl of oatmeal that is Adam Kent. *snores* Thank God for the love of my life Warner and my spirit animal Kenji because they made this book. Without them this would’ve been a one star read because I genuinely don’t like it. I will say that the next two books are leaps and bounds better but damn this first one is just a dumpster fire.

To any girl who meets a boy who was "broken" by the way someone in his life treated him, who gets treated horribly by this boy -- run. His brokenness does not make it okay for him to hurt you. His brokenness does not mean that he deserves your forgiveness. There are plenty of people who suffer abuse and do not lash out and abuse the people they "love." Di tutto questo strazio salvo solo i personaggi secondari, in particolare Kenji e James, che mi sono anche piaciuti (molto di più del trio principale, ma non ci voleva molto) e mi hanno strappato una risata in più occasioni.Juliette is a naturally beauty, described as a short 5 foot, 3 inches with blue-green eyes and luxuriously long, brown hair. Her face is thin, with full pink lips, perfectly straight teeth and cheekbones that rest high upon her face. She used to live with her parents who were incredibly abusive until the incident that changed her life at 14. Now at 17 years old Juliette is in the prime of her youth but she happens to have a strange power that she seems incapable of controlling, keeping her from knowing happiness. The Start of Juliette’s Story Now Kenji is in the center and a bunch of other character whom i forgot their names but somehow deserved their own chapters A lot of readers find this rather annoying, but you get used to it as you go along. It’s much easier for me to deal with than when an entire book is written in a different dialect, like Goddess in the Machine. Who is Tahereh Mafi?
