About this deal

There’s other descriptive paragraphs, but I feel like this gives the best general overview of what they’re seeing. One of my uncles used to come over when he was drunk and play this game where he would jab his knife into the table between my fingers.

A lot of fan fiction has severe problems when it comes to crafting – to words, grammar, editing, and other things -, but a good story which will make me pull through, nevertheless, and still love the story. In the next paragraph, it’s hard to tell if “the first gusts of a storm” is literal or metaphorical. But instead of curbing his need to wander and discover, his misery drove him to recklessness and to something he would never otherwise have considered, or dared.Since Aedan is the conduit through which we learn about the world details are fleshed out only as Aedan becomes aware of them.

It was quiet for a long time, and he was almost out of patience when he heard a deep rumbling breath that didn’t sound much like wind and that made him think of soil and sun and air. That would provoke curiosity with something of substance, allowing Renshaw to embellish that without making it feel hokey.

What information he does provide feels like empty melodrama because there’s nothing of substance in the story to back it up. They’re there for a while the both of them start healing from their burns, but Aedan is still covered in bandages. It does seem to be some kind of beast that Prince and other dude don’t want the people to know about. Oh, it’s decided that the pearlnut tree in Aedan’s home town is a descendant of a tree that was struck by lightning.

Then Clauman goes off for days on end doing who knows what, and Aedan doesn’t feel comfortable leaving his mother with that creepy landlord around. These educational/military institutions are where the lead character meets good friends and good teachers, enemies and bad teachers, they get into scrapes, always risking expulsion, and all the while… coming of age.I know that this is something other readers will love as the schooling part of a fantasy book is, in my opinion, always a winner - think Roke from Le Guin's Earthsea, Hogwarts from Rowling's Harry Potter, the University from Rothfuss's Kingkiller Chronicles. Yeah, you’ve been through some things, but why do you think you’ll be able to join as a twelve-year-old anyway? Maybe it’s because I’ve never been too prideful to just freaking talk to people about my insecurities, and especially in recent years I’ve seen a lot less stigma in going to therapy, but his whole attitude is so unnecessary.
