About this deal

The print slot is found on the left-hand side of the Instax Mini Evo (when viewed from the rear), so make sure it is unobstructed when you press the print button. A nice quirk is that the camera display will show a graphic of the print coming out from the screen. Lens modes: Normal, Vignette, Soft Focus, Blur, Fisheye, Colour Shift, Light Leak, Mirror, Double Exposure, Half-frame

The app does a few different things: It prints images from your phone, provides remote controls for the camera, and transfers photos from the camera to your phone for easier social shares. Not everything works flawlessly—because the live feed transmits over Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi, the view is slightly choppy, for example. The live view takes up only a small portion of your phone's screen too, so it can be difficult to use effectively. Additionally, none of the Evo's creative filters or colors are available when you use the remote camera controls—it's a workable, but underwhelming, implementation. The main menu features a number of different settings which you can change, including face detection, switching the AF illuminator on or off (you might wish to switch it off if you’re trying to shoot somewhere discreetly), print settings, bluetooth settings, date and time and so on. The camera is of course made entirely from plastic, so ideally you won't ever drop it (!), but it is robust enough to survive a small drop if you do. Also at the bottom of the Fuji Instax Mini Evo, alongside the card slot, is a micro USB port, which you can use to charge up the camera. The flash on the front of the camera will light up to let you know it’s charging, switching off when it’s complete. There's also a factory-reset button in the same compartment.. The good news is that you can use the Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo as a printer, as well as a camera. That means that in theory you could completely ignore the camera aspect and use the device to print much better photos from your smartphone, or even dedicated camera. Sample Images The Mini Evo isn't just a camera, it's also an Instax film printer—it features Bluetooth 4.2+LE connectivity for easy connections to smartphones. I tried the Instax Mini Evo companion app with an iPhone. The remote control interface sizes down the live feed from the camera

The instax mini Evo uses a 28mm f2 lens, this gives you a wide-angle that gets everyone in the shot. Snap subjects as close as 10cm all the way to infinity. You can also use the Mini Evo to print images from your smartphone (or indeed any image file found on your smartphone), too. The small 54x 86mm (2.1 x 3.4in) paper prints emerge from the slot in the side of the camera and gradually fade into view 90 seconds after you first pressed the shutter button. Despite the dials, snapping photos with the Instax Mini Evo is a push-button experience. The camera has two shutter releases—one at the top, for when you hold it in landscape orientation, and a front button to use when you hold the camera vertically for portraits or selfies. A mirror next to the lens helps you frame self-portraits. Controls feel a little cramped, but get the job done.

Approximately 16 seconds. When using instax-Rich Mode immediately after startup printing may take an additional 7 seconds. What film does the Fujifilm instax mini Evo use? Also on the top plate we find a large ridged metal dial set flush to the body which is unmarked, but which a glance at the booklet in the box reveals is a ‘film dial’ for selecting the 10 different film effects promised up front. It then makes sense that turning the ridged lens dial surrounding the lens itself runs through the 10 different lens settings. There is another shutter button on top of the camera, but as the Instax Mini Evo does everything that it can to make you shoot in portrait mode, you'll find yourself using the front shutter release most of the time. FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO, Representative Director Teiichi Goto) has launched the new instax mini Evo Hybrid instant camera (mini Evo), available on 1st February 2022. With a sophisticated and classic look that is synonymous with Fujifilm’s iconic approach to camera design, the mini Evo’s unique hybrid format combines the excitement and enjoyment of analog instant camera functionality with the capabilities of digital photo technology to store, share, and print images. Shooting with the Instax Mini Evo is, by far, a lot more fun than any Instax camera — I'm not exaggerating when I say I've tried them all and own many of them. (I might have a small addiction; there are worse vices.)
