About this deal

Clear line of sight between alarm and receiver - still working at 195m measured before running out of road. They're not competing with top end alarms, but are well worth 200 quid for 3 and receiver in my mind. It's a load of ********,I have these alarms and so do 3 lads I fish with and never once had false bleeps.I have fished massive open windswept waters and the rx+ have been spot on. I would say the heads look and feel ok, buttons and switch seem positive, battery cover is a good fit. The receiver does look and feel a little cheap, but then again it's not going to be sitting out there in all weather's. My only gripe is the LED's on the receiver could have been bigger and brighter, or have a fish eye lens to enhance them. At the end of the day they are only mid entry alarms. Fox Bite Alarms and Receivers are engineered with utmost precision, ensuring accurate detection of line movement or vibrations. With Fox's innovative technology, anglers can rely on these devices to provide timely alerts for every bite.

I've probably done 20 nights and days, and the receiver is still showing batteries at 'full' level. I don’t have a favourite alarm though I’m not like everyone else who is either fox or delkim or Nash or what ever other company is fashionable at the time, yes I do have delkims and have had them since the new ones come out about 3/4 years ago and absolutely love them but I will end up buying different ones at some point just because I get bored of having and looking at the same setup for to long, so I will be going rx+ route, the wolfs or something else as a second setup but was put off a little bit with my mates For night-time angling adventures, Fox Illuminated Bite Alarms provide excellent visibility and clear bite indication. Equipped with bright LED lights, these bite alarms make it easier for you to detect any action on your line, even in low-light conditions. A modern re-worked version of the old school classic Mini Micron Bite Alarm boasting a number of great new features including receiver technology. Wanted to buy the Nash S5R or R3 set first (have the Nash S5 atm), a youtuber said he rated Micron X higher than Sr5, will see next week. The FoxMini Micron is a modern re-worked version of the old school classic Mini Micron Bite Alarm but this one boasts a number of great new features. I messaged Fox and they asked for pics of the serial numbers in the battery bay, once they received the pics they sent a new alarm out in the post f.o.c which paired straight away, they didn’t really elaborate too much when I asked what the problem was as it was something they could diagnose though the serial no I'm probably missing something and these are the first new alarms I've had in ~20 years (replacing my old delkims) so have never seen this before. When I measure on my 3 rod bars, the gap between 1-2 and 2-3 is at best almost 1 cm out. When you have 3 rods out it drives me nuts as mismatch in gap is obvious. Can't fault mine so far. Good functionality, imo they look quite tidy and yet to miss a beat. So far very happy with them

I think it's fare enough, I recon most alarm manufacturers would say the same. The RX+'s are top of the range and price, so one would imagine a superior receiver strength compared to the mid range Mini Micron X, hence being more susceptible to vegetation, height, distance etc. I have been a Fox alarm user since the original MMXR's and would confidently use them, unless you are casting out then going home to wait for a bite, the receiver would be good in any sensible fishing situation. Only one way for you to find out if any alarm on the market meets your requirement is to buy a set and try Evening all. Thought I would try the great and the good on here before going down the Fox/shop route in the hope of an easy fix.I took the plunge and got some of these. One odd thing I have noticed is the sound on speaker of the alarm and receiver if you listen carefully with one beep you can hear it come on it sounds like a walkie talkie channel if you know what I mean?
