Sebastian Cabot as Sir Ector, Arthur's foster father and Kay's father. Though he clearly cares for Arthur, he often treats him more like a servant than a son. Cabot also provides the narration at the beginning and end of the film. Boomerang Unveils New SCOOBY-DOO AND GUESS WHO? & YABBA-DABBA DINOSAURS! Series" (Press release). Boomerang. Bamm-Bamm Rubble – The Rubbles' abnormally strong adopted son, who they adopt during the fourth season. His name comes from the only phrase he speaks as a baby: "Bamm, Bamm!" Seven months later a British nurse specializing in children’s care, Verena, arrives. Jakob hasn't spoken since his mother died and Verena is the latest English-speaking (per Malvina's wishes) nurse recruited by Klaus, Jakob's father. Verena meets estate keeper Alessio and retired house maid Lilia. Though polite, Jakob is cold and distant. Meyers, Cynthia B. (October 25, 2013). A Word from Our Sponsor: Admen, Advertising, and the Golden Age of Radio. Fordham University Press. p.140. ISBN 9780823253760. Stewart Lee commended the series in the 2007 BBC Four series Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe. Lee commented on depictions of teenagers on television in different decades, contrasting Children of the Stones with the Channel 4 drama Skins and arguing that Children of the Stones is still relevant to a modern audience. Several clips of the story were shown. In 1964, The Sword in the Stone was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Scoring of Music—Adaptation or Treatment. It lost the award to Irma la Douce (1963). Andreeva, Nellie (July 11, 2019). " 'The Flintstones' Animated Series Reboot In Works At Warner Bros. With Elizabeth Banks Producing". Deadline. After the King of England, Uther Pendragon, dies without an heir to his throne, a sword magically appears inside an anvil atop a stone, with an inscription proclaiming that whoever removes it is the future king. Many have failed to remove the sword, which becomes forgotten, leaving England in the Dark Ages. Christianity was born in Palestine two thousand years ago. From there it spread throughout the Middle East and to the rest of the world. Yet many are unaware Christians still live in the land. Soon enough, Verena starts hearing the voice too. She also is increasingly encouraged by servant Lilia (Lisa Gastoni) to try on the dead mother’s clothing, almost as if to challenge the spirit to a custody battle. And even if Verena finds unexpected resistance in convincing young Jakob to let go of his mother’s specter, Klaus has no problem letting rotting bodies lie, particularly if he can have Verena’s nude one as a model for his sculptures. Fred and Barney Meet the Thing (1979) (the only original content on this show was not related to the Flintstones)

This was a beautiful and simple book, a perfect introduction to Kent Nerburn as a writer, especially if you don't already know his work. He calls it a sketchbook of his reflections, gained from his thirty years living near to the heartbeat of Native America. No white man knows it better or tells it as clearly and plainly. The subtitle captures his intentions, He brings forth life lessons from the Native Way. The show follows the lives of Fred and Wilma Flintstone and their pet dinosaur, Dino, and they later on have a baby girl named Pebbles. Barney and Betty Rubble are their neighbors and best friends, and later on adopt a super-strong baby boy named Bamm-Bamm and acquire a pet hopparoo (kangaroo) called Hoppy. The serial was novelised by series writers Jeremy Burnham and Trevor Ray and released by Carousel Books in 1977. It was released in the US two years later. [11] The novelisation was released in audiobook format by Fantom Films in August 2014, read by Gareth Thomas. [12] Sequel [ edit ]

The name "The Four Insects" is clearly a play on the British band " The Beatles", then at the height of their fame. The song "She Said Yeah Yeah Yeah" is a play on The Beatles' " She Loves You".

Verena, who cannot play piano, encourages the gifted Jakob to do so, as he has refused to play since Malvina died. Lilia, a confidant to Malvina, develops a close relationship with Verena. Lilia visits her room most evenings to talk about Jakob, and Malvina, and Verena's disconnected life of helping, then having to leave, a series of children. Do not begrudge the white man his presence on this land. Though he doesn’t know it yet, he has come here to learn from us.” Wilma Flintstone – Fred's wife and Pebbles' mother, who is more intelligent and level-headed than her husband. She often serves as a foil to Fred's behavior and is a loyal wife to him. However, she has a habit of spending money, with her and Betty's catchphrase being " Da-da-da duh da-da CHARGE it!!". She can also be jealous, as she becomes easily angered if another woman interacts with Fred. There is so much to be learned from the Native Americans. Kent Nerburn gives insight into their sensitive understanding of the world, their strong sense of community and their emphasis on sharing rather than selfish hoarding. Nerburn suggests that society today can benefit greatly from adopting the humility and opening up to learn from the Native Americans rather than dismissing it as myth. He talks about Native boarding schools and their resilience despite that. The guilt of what was done to them that shows in the US government’s zoning of reservations, and refusing to look at what the Native American population truly need.Kent Nerburn reminds us that in the timeless Native American ways of seeing and being, the truth of life is not found in knowledge but in something closer to prayer. Even today, amidst coffee shops, graveyards, old cars, and cafeterias, the wisdom keepers Nerburn follows in his sensitively told narratives still follow the voices of stones, streams, and dreams, listening to the wind with open ears and open hearts, not knowing where it will lead, or what they will learn.” The Flintstones is an American animated sitcom produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, which takes place in a romanticized Stone Age setting and follows the titular family, the Flintstones, and their next-door neighbors, the Rubbles. It was originally broadcast on ABC from September 30, 1960, to April 1, 1966, and was the first animated series with a prime-time slot on television. [2] Brooks, Tim; Marsh, Earle (2007).
