About this deal

As Simone, 53, explains in her inspirational new memoir, The Fate We Make – Book One: Heartbreak, she had endured many traumatic episodes in her life, starting with an unhappy and unsettled childhood caught in the middle of parental warfare. This is Volume One of many Volumes to come. I am excited to see more of Jennifer Silverwood's work. Her world-building really grew on me and got to understand the world Vynasha was in. A fantasy filled book with twists and surprises. Her new book, The Fate We Make, which she plans as a trilogy, began as part of that process, and she says that reflecting on her life and the lessons learned has been a cathartic experience for her, and one that she hopes is inspirational and instructional for others. Simone's story is gripping and astounding. The narration is captivating and soul-stirring. While you can feel the pain she went through, you can also feel the strength her words and actions provide. The way she recounts her past life, full of miseries, and the achievements she made through is awe inspiring.

On success, dream big, start small. A journey of a thousand steps begins with your very first small step.Raised in Singapore in a very traditional family, she grew up believing there was a clear path differentiating the "right" way and the "wrong" way to live. However, her life was thrown off course when she got pregnant as a teen. The decision to save face should have been ingrained in her, but things weren't actually that simple. Feeling for the baby she carried, she had to choose between her future or the child's. This is honestly one of the most interesting memoirs I have ever read. In 'The Fate We Make' Simone recounts, not only hers, but her family's story. Each woman has their own story to tell and each one of them persevered through whatever life threw at them. I am in awe of these women and of Simone. They have been through so much...yet hope was never truly lost and I think that's such a beautiful message in itself. From reason one, i'm sure you can tell. This book is not a standalone. There will be more! If you like series, or built-up tension then this book is just down your alley with an amazing cliff-hanger ending.

It did not disappoint. It was definitely a book that took time to get into but the chapter art and the general aesthetic of the book was what drew me in. Simone, who now lives in Cambridgeshire, says that her actions left her feeling so guilty that she entered a phase of “self-sabotage”, entering into ill-considered and abusive relationships because she felt that “she deserved the punishment”. Simone Warren has written a courageous and insightful memoir. Every woman should read The Fate We Make. Warren's ability to vividly recount her life's chapters, from her vibrant childhood to her tumultuous adolescence and into young womanhood, offers readers a profound insight into the challenges she faced and the decisions that shaped her. Her exploration of the generational struggles and remarkable women who preceded her paints a rich tapestry of strength and vulnerability, guiding her on her own journey of self-discovery.What I have learned from the story is the power our choices hold. Today's choice can make or mar our future. Even if the decision we make is wrong, we always have the power to mould it. We need not suffer just because of one wrong decision. The title of the book points towards the same. Warren is frank and honest, never glazing over the bad, but punctuating those bad times with the good ones. However, there doesn't seem to be any regret in what Warren tells us as ultimately she has her children and a happier life today. These are my five reasons as to why you should read The Third Daughter. Thank you to TBR and Beyond Tours for letting me on this tour. The Fate We Make: Heartbreak is the story of Simone’s resilience, healing journey, and push to end generational trauma with her to create a better future for her kids.
