About this deal

Bought this as a replacement for my old one. Great chip inside stands up to all the new mods old there Most interesting is the focus Chisholm has put on the importance of command structure. While there are plenty of colourful story-points, the focus on the skill of being a leader, making the right choices, owning your mistakes and trusting in your team is refreshing and sets it apart from similar themed space adventures. Now for something different. NGC 1662 is a lovely mag. 6.4 open cluster forming a right-angle triangle with mag. 4.6 Pi 1 (π 1) Orionis and mag. 4.4 Pi 2 (π 2) Orionis, the two stars at the top of Orion’s Shield. Pi 1 Orionis sits in the right angle. This is another overlooked target, said to resemble a Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek. Just for interest, if you’ve ever seen any of the wonderful images of a gas cloud in space known as the Horsehead Nebula, then it sits in this part of the sky, just below the Belt star Alnitak – although you would need a big telescope to see it. You've thought about your title and setting, you've planned who/where/what, and you've made it into an exciting rollercoaster ride! Not bad when you started with a blank piece of paper. Orion Lost is a brilliant space romp with amazing characters. It has loads of action, great storytelling and plenty of twists and turns to keep you going. If you're a fan of Star Wars, Firefly or Star Trek, you're going to absolutely love this adventure! Where do I start? This was an amazing read! For a first novel it can't be overstated how well crafted this book is. It manages to hit just the right mark to attract young and older readers. With tight, concise chapters - most ending on a cliffhanger of some sort - it begs to be read. And then the next thing is: where does it take place? Well, that could be entirely up to you really, but it could be at a football game. It could be in a magical unicorn kingdom. It could be in your school. Wherever it is, have a think: what does it look like? What does it sound like? What does it smell like? If it's your school what does it smell like just after lunch? What does it smell like just after the boys have done P.E? What is it like to be there? And then lastly, have a think about the kind of problem that you want. What is the danger that they've got? I found this book really easy to read, it flowed really well. The way the author described everything I felt like I was actually there with them on the ship. The characters were all great, but I particularly liked Beth and Lauryn, they were my favourite.... Read Full Review

Are we going to get mutiny? Is it going to be reminiscent of Lord of the Flies? Are they going to get assimilated by the aliens (who NOBODY has ever seen, but they have strange ships and weird technology)? And what about the outlaws (there's a name for them but I forget it and I don't have the book in front of me at the moment and it's a walk across the front yard in the pouring rain to my sleep-out to get it)?? Try to use the foreground – trees, buildings, etc – to lead the viewer’s eye toward Orion. Sometimes clouds can be used as a framing device too, and thin cloud can even ‘bloat’ and enhance the colours of bright stars. Set exposure length, aperture and ISO

Venus rotates so slowly, that it takes longer to spin on its axis than it does to go around the Sun so that on Venus, a day is longer than a year. Jamieson, Victoria (author, illustrator) Mohamed, Omar (author) Geddy, Iman (colourist). When Stars Are ScatteredWith recognisable but not necessarily predictable hints from classic and cult Sci-Fi and space-set films it has a warm familiarity but different enough to be intensely exciting! The seventh magnitude companion (C) is another spectroscopic binary comprising an A-type primary and B-type companion in a 30-day orbit. Observing Orion with the naked eye

As we are still learning so much about space, you will have to really use your imagination to add detail. So in the case of Orion Lost, the original title was actually Orion's Watch. Orion is the star sign up in the sky, the constellation, and so that's the sort of space side, and then the Watch was named after the old night police officers, who used to look after the town when the people were asleep.

Tyler can’t wait for the summer holidays to start, until she discovers she's been enrolled by her dad at Happyville Summer Camp. Even more alarming is when, through a madcap series of events, she starts to morph into a werewolf. Hilarious stuff. Look through your ideas, maybe even some that you'd left out will come in useful later in the story.
