About this deal

The P14 Series is pressure optimized, meaning that the Air that the P14 Fan is pushing has a higher pressure, resulting in a better passthrough if the direction it blows is restricted, like by a Radiator or Filter. After Unboxing the Fans, we immediately noticed that there were no "Anti-Vibration" Pads to be found. We start with loudness, for which we have used a Protmex PPM-SM001 sound level meter at an exact distance of 50 centimeters from the fans, just enough for the measurement to be given in dBA. We have made two measurements: one with the speed configured in PWM so that it is the board that dictates how they should work (this would be a real scenario of how most users would have them configured) and another at their maximum speed, with the following result : P14 / F14 PWM PST => Has a PWN Connection + a Daisy Chain Connection to hook multiple Fans to one Fan Header Arctic is a specialist brand in PC cooling systems, and it is not for nothing that they have some of the best heatsinks and fans on the market. These P14 PWM PST A-RGB 0 dB are no exception, and focused on providing good performance with high static pressure but with the minimum possible noise level they have managed to fulfill their mission with an outstanding note.

At a first glance, the Arctic P14 Lineup may be overwhelming, but we will try to make it as clear as possible. Arctic's Lineup of 140mm Case Fans is grouped into 2 big Product Lines, the P14Series & the F14 Series. Initially we have mounted the fans “in the air” to be able to test their noise and airflow without restrictions, and at the same time to show you how their lighting looks. In the photo above you can see the fans in operation in bright conditions (with two white light bulbs of 2200W each pointing directly at them), and even so, the lighting can be perfectly appreciated; This is to give you an idea of the great intensity of light that these Arctic fans generate. We are now going to see what air flow these Arctic fans deliver, and for this we have used a Holdpeak HP-866A anemometer. Again we have taken two data, one with the fan speed set to exactly 1,000 RPM and another at its maximum speed, in this case 1,900 RPM.And in fact, our dB-meter and the Audio Recording of our Benchmarking both confirmed that there is absolutely no difference between having Anti-Vibration-Pads and not. (Or we unable to, no matter how loud we played the audio recordings) Once again, the Xilence XPF140.R.PWM failed the test because its minimum speed resulted in too much noise. It should also be noted in this test that the pump is added as another noise source, which means that the fans generally have to spin slower to achieve the same volume from the case fan test. Image Inside of the Box, we can find exactly what we expected, the P14 Fan, 4 Silver mounting screws, and a Smartphone Shaped piece of paper with the QR Code redirecting to the User Manual. A small difference between the P12 and P14 is the Length of the "PST" extension (Daisy-chain). For the P14, Arctic made the Wires about 1.5x as long, making it much easier to connect every attached fan behind the Motherboard. It is literally impossible for a human being to “hear” absolute silence, but this is the threshold of hearing.

Finally, we must highlight that Arctic is in the midst of the A-RGB era and, therefore, the configurable RGB lighting on these P14 fans could not be absent. For this, the manufacturer has mounted 12 A-RGB digital LEDs that can be configured independently using the motherboard control software, so you will not need to install any additional software on your PC for this. Unboxing and external analysis While spinning at 1700RPM, the P14's yelled with 49dbA, making them the loudest of our fans until now.

Where it doesn’t sound spectacular so far, it should at least be said that the spinning of the fan blades themselves feels pretty solid, and thus better than what you’re used to with many inexpensive fans. Also, the long manufacturer’s warranty shows that Arctic has a decent self-confidence when it comes to quality. Performance as a case fan Because the P14's are aimed at the Performance-only market, we will also cease to let their design affect our Review. As we mentioned a moment ago, we have tested these fans in the air to measure their efficiency without restrictions, since otherwise it would depend on which box or in which radiator we install them. In addition, in this way we can make a reliable comparison with other fans that have passed through our test laboratory. P14 / F14 PWM PST CO => Has a PWM Connection + Daisy Chain Connection + Build for Constant Operation
