About this deal

Thankfully you don’t have to resort to the old “soap and scrape” method that you have probably either tried or heard of. This is where you wet the interior window with soapy water and painstakingly chip away at the tint with a razor blade. Spray the soapy water mixture onto the inside of the window after preparing in the same way as for the ammonia spraying. Hi Lisa, Decolour Stripper (Blue Box) would not be right for you, because that product is designed for people who want to strip both their natural and artificial colour. The Decolour shade you need is Decolour Remover (Red box). Decolour Remover will not lighten your natural underlying hair colour. However, you need to understand that permanent colour will likely have lightened your natural colour somewhat, simply because permanent colourants contain peroxide. So even when the shade is dark, the peroxide still lightens the natural (underlying) colour as it deposits the new permanent shade. You should use an eyebrow brush and gently brush it on the area around the tinted brows, which helps break down the color pigments.

Window tint can be removed if it exceeds the law, if you don’t like the color, or if it has started to bubble or fade. Window tinting is both a technical and an artistic procedure, as previously stated. If your window tint was placed by a novice or by a professional tint shop that did a poor job, it will need to be removed so you can start over. How To Remove Window Tint – 5 Simple Methods Maintain the same distance between the steamer and the glass, directing the steam to the point where the tinting film and the glass meet. Peel the tint from your window slowly.Steaming Method. Use a hair dryer or steamer to heat the tinted window and loosen the adhesive. Then carefully peel off the tint starting from one corner, using a razor blade or a plastic card to slowly separate the film from the glass.

When you apply a permanent colourant, the peroxide in the colourant will lighten the hair a level or two, pretty much exactly as Sun-in works. However, you cannot see this underlying lightening because the artificial colour molecules sit on the top. When you use a hair colour remover it takes out the artificial molecules and exposes the lightened hair underneath. This is where many people discover the previous colourant lightened their hair to a coppery colour. However, if you have long found your hair lifts to a nice colour with Sun-In, it’s very possible that if you used Decolour Remover, you would discover the hair was a shade you liked underneath, as that peroxide in the colourants developer would have been lifting up your natural brown hair, just as Sun-In does. Scratch and scrape off the top layer of the tint film in long strokes with a razor blade or your fingernail. Once the window tint is removed, any remaining adhesive can be removed with #0000 steel wool and warm soapy solution. Steaming is probably the easiest way to remove tinting from your vehicle. It takes much less muscle and time and leaves the least amount of residue to remove later. If you don’t have a fabric steamer yet, you can buy one that is relatively inexpensive online such as a Conair Steam Wand.Yes. In fact, it’s extremely common for body shops to offer a discount rate for removing old window tint at the same time as installing new ones.
