On Friday, Nov. 18, the “hottest band in the world,” Kiss remastered and re-released their 1982 record titled “Creatures of the Night” for the 40th anniversary.

Little did the fans know that during the recording sessions for “Dynasty” and the follow-up record, 1980’s “Unmasked,” that drummer Peter Criss was not showing up to recording sessions and that session musicians were recording Criss’s drum takes which resulted in guitarist Paul Stanley, bassist Gene Simmions and guitarist Ace Frehley to fire Criss prior to the European leg of the Unmasked tour. a b Gooch, Curt; Suhs, Jeff (2002). I did get Surround Sound for Christmas and so I put this in and I will be honest, I wasn’t impressed with the surround sound effect of the album. Don’t get me wrong, it sounded great, the drums were huge, but it didn’t feel as immersive as other 5.1 mixes that I have. I was a little disappointed. I thought the Destroyer album’s 5.1 was so much better.
