However, it’s no surprise the most obvious comparison can be made to Blade Runner 2049 of which Green and Zimmer worked on.

imagery and pulsating, color-coded "shield" effects, as well as practical action sequences featuring massive explosions, hand-to-hand combat, and sleek This leads me to another impressive aspect of this presentation. Admittedly I haven’t seen the film in maybe a couple of decades (and I haven’t seen the Extended Version, which isn’t available on this edition) but from my vague recollection I swear the optical effects look better here. To be clear, I don’t think they’ve been digitally touched up or altered, but I feel, at the very least, the contrast has been adjusted. I swear the optical effects really stood out in this film thanks to the varying contrast of the layers, but that’s actually not much of an issue here, the seams only slightly showing. Dune's massive visuals are paired perfectly with what can only be described as a purely enveloping sound field, one that places viewers moments. (That's obviously not a complaint lobbed at its source material, just what was chosen to be shown on the screen.) Yet its visual This "Part One", as it's titled on-screen, adapts the original novel's first half and introduces its diverse characters within a futuristic universe ofDolby Vision gives a depth and richness to the colour palette, the ornate colour schemes of Atreides, against the harsher tone of Harkonnen, but both are sold without wash or bleed. Flesh tones are natural, as are sand tones. Reds and oranges are bold when it comes to explosions, with a palpable heat.
