About this deal

Several Toyless Toyline Characters were intended to have toys at one point, but they were ultimately cancelled: Seth Ptolemy, Quill Talyntino, Spelldon Cauldrononello, Gory Fangtell, Dedyet de Nile, Tiki, and the Sea-Mares.

Animated Elle's hairline is a squared-off widow's peak to keep with her angular robotic details. The actual doll's hairline is completely smooth. Gigi emphasizes in her profile that all her time spent in her lantern makes her claustrophobic. Also, in her diary, she shares how lonely she gets when she is trapped inside her lantern. She is still adapting to the real world (outside the lantern) and is afraid of her surroundings, mostly because she is afraid of the unknown. Her genie nature also makes her very loyal and helpful, which sometimes turns against her when people abuse her power, and she is forced to obey. She is capable of making new friendships easily, but only when totally comfortable with it.Howleen Wolf is the one who finds the lantern Gigi resides in, so they start developing a friendship. She finds it a little strange that she is developing a relationship with a 'finder' but enjoys Howleen's personality. She is also friends with her shadow-half Djinni "Whisp" Grant, who once tried to dominate the world. In her bio it states that she is friends with Twyla Boogeyman as well as Iris Clops with their shared passion for Astronomy. Gigi also seems to be good friends with Catty Noir as they both have common interest with each other in the New Scaremester diaries. For the Generation 3 animated series, Frankie is nonbinary and voiced by iris menas, who is also nonbinary. Cash-Cow Franchise: For much of the 2010s, it went head-to-head with Mattel's own Barbie for sales. The popularity of Monster High led to a whole subgenre of similar dolls.

The ghouls of Monster High are off on another exciting adventure in Monster High: 13 Wishes. This time, Howleen Wolf finds an ancient genie lantern in the attic and accidentally wreaks havoc on Monster High. During all the mayhem, they make a new friend, Gigi Grant, the daughter of a Genie. The gore-geous Gigi Grant doll totally charms in a frightfully fab outfit with killer accessories, plus she's fully articulated, so your own ghoul can pose her in lots of cool ways. Includes 10.5-inch (27 cm) fully articulated Gigi Grant doll wearing fashion and accessories, lantern purse, pet scorpion figure, diary, doll hairbrush, and doll stand. Playhut came out with Mystixx, which copy the look of the Monster High dolls (with some possible recasting of the Mattel molds) and features some possibly traced character art. Gigi's lantern was found by Howleen, and when Whisp tried to take control over her, her friends found every piece of the magic mirror, stopping Whisp. Howleen's last wish released Gigi from her lantern, so she could stay at Monster High and make Whisp the lantern's new genie. She now studies at Monster High and makes an effort to adapt to the world outside. Fake Nationality: Pretty much every character. Technically averted with Stephanie Sheh as Jinafire Long, as she is American, but of Taiwanese descent.A few of the G2 doll releases, like the Scream and Sugar Amanita and Nefera and I Love Fashion Whisp, are plainly G1 dolls that weren't able to release during G1, since their facial designs and bodies are in the G1 style. Furthermore, with Whisp, her format is a hint—the I Love Fashion series was a G1 staple that first existed to provide dolls with several outfits and then gained the function of being the place where female characters that had formerly been SDCC exclusives got a wide release. Whisp was the only such character to not get an ILF doll prior to the end of G1, indicating alongside her visual design that her G2 doll was always intended for a G1 release. Not Even Bothering with the Accent: Pretty much every character is from a foreign country (mainly Europe), and the voice actors give them American accents, though Lagoona is given more of an Australian accent. Wish Granting: When still bound to the lantern rules, Gigi could grant each finder a total of 13 wishes. However, when this power was passed on to Whisp, Gigi lost it. In 'Scareful What You Wish For', Gigi learns that her wish granting is still available for her, though only for simple wishes. She can also grant unlimited wishes, rather than only 13. Her relationship with her family is unknown, but she is the daughter of the Genie or Djinni. She mentions of having a father, but there is no information regarding Gigi's mother. It is possible she was born without one. Gigi, regardless of the events that occurred, also still claims Whisp as her sister.
