Choices that could make or break us can be a source of worry. We may use delay tactics to avoid making a wrong choice. Most decisions don’t change our lives in unalterable ways. But some do, and so we worry.

Try deep breathing. When you worry, you become anxious and breathe faster, often leading to further anxiety. So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. Occasionally reflecting on something bad that has passed – or something that may be scary or bad in the future – can be helpful. It can help us to problem-solve how we might deal with issues next time. Thinking about all the things that could go wrong doesn't make life any more predictable. You may feel safer when you’re worrying, but it’s just an illusion. Focusing on worst-case scenarios will only keep you from enjoying the good things you have in the present. To stop worrying, you need to learn how to embrace the uncertainty that we all face in life.
