Though the Grimorium Verum exists in Earth-1218, its description in Marvel Comics, flesh-bound, and compared (and almost equated) with the Darkhold (Marvel's equivalent of the Necronomicon, and its source in the Marvel Universe), it appears to be inspired by the occult books of the Cthulhu Mythos.
