Its confident and bold mossy notes will give you a sense of comfortable winter evenings in a less chaotic era. Overall, Devin is well executed and really does stand apart - but it ultimately lacks the easy class of Aramis or the bold funk of 900.

The crisp blend of green notes with bright citrus accents blended with rich spices, sensuous wood and amber creates an aristocratic and relaxed fragrance; perfect for the man who wants to feel fresh and unhurried. While I don’t love Devin, the four Lauder pairings are a tribute to Bernard Chant who composed them all as well as Cabochard. The scents feels very cohesive (prob because of the oakmoss) and as numerous people mentioned (and the box itself as well): very outdoorsy!Throw in some cigarette smoke, and you'll be able to smell the picture from Marlboro ads from the 80's. Later that same day tried Halston Z14 and immediately drew comparison, but with the Z14 not invoking the same wave of disgust (wet cardboard rarely does). First, a misting into the air yields strong, bitter citrus reminiscent of burnt orange as in caramelised marmalade. Devin is smooth yet rugged, uncomplicated yet filled with subtle depth that reveals itself to those who listen.

It was the first prestigious men's fragrance widely available in supermarkets, and is now sold in 120 countries.Devin is a classic barber, old school fragrance very well blended, a bit more into it that I expected. The piney, soapy opening is promising and quite nice, and burns down to gentlemanly aromatics in the heart. Devin is a complex good value cheapie that changed in reformulation, not for the better but who is to say for the worse?
