About this deal

For me personally, the fact that the original Joolz Aer stroller wouldn’t fold with a bumper bar is a huge pain in the butt because I use the bar non-stop with my kids and we cannot live without it. But, Libelle comes with an adjustable built-in footrest – a very unique feature for travel strollers. We plan on using a car seat and a bjorn baby carrier for the first few months (it will be cold nyc winter anyway so I don’t plan on going out too much) and then just using yoyo2 when the baby is 5 months or so (it will be spring by then).

However, I wonder if the Aer would be more suited for a daily use in bumpy sidewalks and cobblestones. We never bought the rolling bag, just hang a regular diaper bag off the handle and it works fine – AKA doesn’t fall over. My firstborn hates any sort of footrests on any stroller – I still remember when he was a baby he’d perpetually ride with his feet spread out to avoid the footrest on our other strollers 😉 Footrest only helped when my firstborn was very little for sleeping, but around 12 months I disconnected the top straps and only used the 3-point harness. Also, the upright position is not as upright as I would like, so my toddler always seems a bit slumped. This belly bar is easy to attach on to the stroller and lifts up and down for easy use and exit of the stroller.

It’s nice that the insert of the fabric goes all the way to the sides because I must admit – finding pieces of half-eaten Goldfish in our Babyzen Yoyo in between the fabric and seat is a common occurrence. You would have to unhook the back seat to install a car seat, but the good news is that it fits Cybex Cloud Q car seat which is the best on the market as it reclines. What’s even better news is that unlike other luxury brands of strollers such as Joolz Aer or Cybex Libelle or Orfeo, the stroller folds with the bumper bar so you don’t have to worry about losing the bar in transit. Kupując produkty z serii babyzen yoyo bumper bar, podczas dużych wyprzedaży otrzymasz – oprócz marek dobrej jakości – również wiele rabatów. I can’t afford any of them at the moment but hoping this one goes on sale over Christmas in Canada and then I am truly ready for anything when travelling! The stroller folds and unfolds just as easily with its leg rest in place, for an even smoother ride. You can choose from a white or black frame for the YOYO2, which also offers a rainbow of color choices for the seat or bassinet fabrics. With UPF 50+ protection and enhanced opacity, it protects your baby from the sun more effectively than ever. My toddler is now 100 cm and he fits just fine, but honestly, his legs are better resting on the bottom footrest unless he turns to the side and goes into a fetal position then footrest will be useful (but then you can’t strap the child, I never do and we just use a bumper bar, but most people do).

But, if you’re used to things like Doona that are uncomfortably short then Libelle will be fine as it’s taller than that. Bassinets are not always behind business class, some planes didn’t have it in comfort class so it was behind the toilet, but they’re always below giant screens flashing flight maps and next to other babies that might cry and keep waking each other up, so in my opinion, they are pretty uncomfortable. Here’s another post of mine on my travel blog explaining everything about flying with a baby: https://annaeverywhere. The Joolz Aer is super compact and what most parents love is the fact that it looks like a luxury full-size stroller, but it’s compact and light when folded.

Cons: very tall parents might prefer an extendable handlebar while shorter parents might feel like it’s too high. Nuna upped the game in 2021 by introducing the TRVL, another high-quality and compact stroller that adds convenient features like an automatic fold and adapter-free compatibility with Nuna PIPA infant car seats. But, having a second stroller was crucial for the 3-year-old when we explored European cities all day long. Although your baby may experience a little more movement when in the bassinet, the fact you can tuck the pram into the most crammed space on a train, far outweighs any concern about baby being slightly rocked around in my opinion.

You can then adjust the angle of recline by tightening or loosening two straps on the side, but it’s a strange and a bit tricky process. No one really touches on this in their reviews or how it actually drives on uneven terrains so I would be very interested to hear your valued opinion!Canopies can become a complicated feature in compact strollers, but with the Babyzen Yoyo+, this is different. I considered it for a while because everyone in the US keeps talking about and it’s so trendy at the moment. We often feel the need to fold up the last bit of the canopy so the child can peak out (as pictured below).
