I don’t understand how people can rate this book with 4 or 5 stars. I haven’t read something so unentertaining in a long time and only wasted my time for ten long hours. You’re worth defending. Every cut, bruise, every single pang of anger or frustration. It’s all worth it. I’d throw my last punch defending you because you deserve to have someone be that person for you, and there’s no one more qualified for the job than me.” It reminded me a bit of Binding 13, but with less interesting side characters, although some interactions were still hilarious. Other characters: Xander was funny and I like his friendship with Russ. Emilia was just useless in this story, but I like the fact that the author talked about her relationship with Poppy. Clay was useless too. And Maya—I forgot she existed during the whole book. The rest of them was boring asf.

I think that Hannah putting the spice over the story in both books limits the entire plot since the spicy scenes started literally in chapter 3 and yet i was still trying figure out who tf that russ guy is but the summer camp setting was really fun to read. It felt good hearing him make plans for the future, and I could pretend I don’t know why, but denial is useless at this point. Everything he says makes me melt, and half the time I don’t know how to react, so I kiss him, then things escalate, and before I know it, I’m screaming his name and seeing stars.” The romance was romancing,it had angst and forced proximity and so much cuteness. I love how they learn to lean on each other/ become more open about personal things about their own lives it makes the the story that more realistic.

Besides of Aurora’s touching character built i loved how her confidence and Russ’s reserved personality balanced each other. She just loved him for being him even while dealing with her own problems which was the most beautiful thing ever. It was so wholesome seeing them being vulnerable with each other. After a one night stand without a real goodbye, Russ shows up to his summer job as a camp counselor and sees her. Because they can’t be together due to camp rules, they decide to be “friends.” Which doesn’t last very long. Then comes the sneaking around. Our MMC, Nate, is spot on. This guy is swoon-worthy, hot, and completely smitten with Anastasia. When you mentioned he’d make an interesting character study, I thought you were joking. Our FMC, Anastasia, is just as cute. She’s strong, endearing, and has fantastic chemistry with Nate. Did I not say that the smut is incredibly juicy? It’s unbearably hot!There are echoes of the Off Campus series in this, but overall I enjoy it more. The plot is interesting and the characters are interesting, and the relationship feels more organic and genuine. I wish I’d found this book sooner. About The Character Henry For instance, Henry wanted to chat to Stassie but JJ suggested they go out for a drink first. You and I both like a beverage.
