About this deal

For additional weathering on vehicles, apply a coat of matt varnish all over the model, then once dry, thin down Raw Umber oil paint with mineral spirit, wash into the recesses, then very carefully wipe away any excess with a cotton bud dipped in mineral spirit. You have to be extremely careful with this part, if you rub too excessively, you run the risk of wearing away the paint underneath.

Valsecchi, Maria Cristina (26 January 2007). "Sacred Cave of Rome's Founders Discovered, Archaeologists Say". National Geographic News. National Geographic. Archived from the original on 30 January 2007 . Retrieved 20 November 2007. On 20 November 2007, the first set of photos were released showing the vault of the grotto which is encrusted with colourful mosaics, pumice stones and seashells. The center of the ceiling features a depiction of a white eagle, the symbol of the Roman Empire. Archaeologists had not yet found the grotto's entrance, so they continued looking. [4] The cave beneath the Domus Livia on the Palatine Hill. The photo was taken with a probe. For the undead purple, I started with a base coat of Naggaroth Night, building up through to Phoenican Purple and finally Kakophoni Purple for the very brightest points, which gave it a slightly pastel tone to add that pallid finish. Dark Angels – A loyalist Space Marine army in the Warhammer 40K universe, and their color scheme frequently features deep greens and blues. Lupercal Green would be a great choice for adding highlights and accents to Dark Angels models, helping to bring out the intricate details and give them a regal, noble look. Genestealer Cults Patriarch. In his hand he has a Blood Angels helmet and on his base is a Crimson Fist, neatly covering my two Marine armies. Credit: Corrode

Flash Gitz Yellow: This bright, sunny yellow paint would add a pop of cheerfulness to a miniature painted with Lupercal Green, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I wanted this Warhammer Underworlds warband to have a look that really reflected the Death faction in the Mortal Realms – rich dark purples and contrasting, ghostly green hues definitely felt very Shyishan, fitting a realm constantly shrouded in amethyst magics. It gave the warband an unnerving undead style, especially compared to their normal royal blue heraldry. For the characters, I kept the same elements but reconfigured. The Primus is obviously quite similar to the Cultists, but the Magus trades some of the blue for his rich purple robes. The first round of base coats are for the skin, and this is pretty much what you can see. I used Carroburg on the more evidently Tyranid hybrids and then various flesh contrasts for the more human range skin tones. Basecoat with thin layers of this colour, taking care not to build up so much paint that the details are obscured. Slow and steady wins the race! Moss: Create several shades of greening by combining two layers of Creed Camo, Munitorum Greem, and/or Coelia Greenshade The spear and green details were painted using the same colours as my Sons of Velmorn cloth – it just works for so many details and textures, giving them a slightly unnatural stone. Perfect for a god-like creature like the Avatar of Khaine.

Most P3 Paints do not match closely with the old GW range, but a detailed explanation of each paint can be found here: http://www.brushthralls.com/pre-painting-prep/color-theory-10p3.html

With the release of Maloghurst just around the corner, and a potential large Heresy box-set coming out with plenty of Mk VI and Cataphractii, part of me is looking to re-starting a XVIth Legion force. Here are a few other Colour Citadel paints that would pair well with Lupercal Green, to create a wide range of moods and styles, from fresh and modern to warm and welcoming to dramatic and sophisticated. Decorative Metal (Icons, Leaders’ Weapons): – Base with Balthasar Gold. – Wash with Agrax Earthshade. – Drybrush with Hashut Copper. – Lightly Drybrush with Sycorax Bronze, focused on the edges. Flesh Tearers Red: This bold, fiery red paint would provide a dramatic contrast to the cool tones of Lupercal Green, creating a look that is energetic and exciting.
