About this deal

One of the people set to inherit what her grandmother left behind is Clara Pickle—a woman who neither Betty nor her family knows. While there are many different characters, we read the story from the perspectives of Joey, Freddie and Jenna. Although you want to get your own place, you decide to temporarily live in your older brother’s spare room. I enjoyed how this book looked at obsession, attraction and how our personal thoughts/emotions/perceptions shape how we think, react, and the interpretations we make based upon what we see and hear.

The suggested questions are intended to help your reading group find new and interesting angles and topics for your discussion. Slowly she starts to realize that Josie has been hiding some very dark secrets, and before she knows it, Josie has inveigled her way into Alix’s life—and into her home. Joey and her husband Alfie are newlyweds who recently moved in with her brother Jack and his wife Rebecca. Joey (Josephine) Mullen– is a twenty-seven year old newlywed who married in haste and is now questioning her decision. Joey has developed an unnatural interest in their neighbor, Tom Fitzsimmons, the Headmaster at School.Readers enter the world of WATCHING YOU alongside Joey, a young woman in her late-twenties who will quickly become one of our story’s most significant characters.

She deftly handles a large cast and this is where she excels—all of the characters are key to the story. Melville Heights, Bristol, England, is a prestigious row of pretty, vividly painted houses that stand proudly overlooking Melville. Then the text begins with a murder investigation on March 24 and interviews with various suspects/witnesses on March 25. There’s also some Asperger’s rep that I felt could be viewed as alright, but also could be viewed as bad. I found this book to be well thought out and going back to the police transcripts - I found them to be a very nice touch.Thank you so much to NetGalley, Atria Books, and Lisa Jewell for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book.

Jewell manipulates the reader's expectations, giving us lots of reasons to think one way, while all the while laying the groundwork for an unexpected (and clever) finale. More than any other criteria, the key thing these books have in common is simple: they are all books I’ve continued to think about since I finished reading them. It is forbidden to copy anything for publication elsewhere without written permission from the copyright holder. Bloody, meta, occasionally self-deprecating, and always wickedly entertaining, CURSE OF THE REAPER draws inspiration from the world of slasher films to tell a delightfully devious tale of an actor, the silver screen villain to which he devoted his entire career, and the grip that villain might just have on him in the real world.Much younger than her husband, Nicola seems besotted with him and does everything to please him – often to the detriment of her relationship with her son. After fleeing London thirty years ago in the wake of a horrific tragedy, Lucy Lamb is finally coming home. Sure enough, certain things come to light, a few people let down their guard and just like that, she sold me, a few characters became not only likable but their action when seen under a new light, understandable.

This was an intriguing character driven mystery that had me diagnosing all the characters at every turn. When someone is found murdered, everyone has an opinion about who is responsible and past secrets are starting to come to light. Stacy Willingham’s masterful use of dual timelines adds intrigue and atmosphere to this compelling mystery, while her immersive writing draws readers into our protagonist’s increasingly unstable state of mind.Upon come home from work not long after her twenty-fifth birthday, Libby Jones receives a life-changing letter. In Lisa Jewell's latest brilliant "bone-chilling suspense" ( People) no one is who they seem - and everyone is hiding something. I can say with certainty that I will be reading more from her and I look forward to seeing what else she comes up with in the future.
