About this deal

Unlike many of the other carbon fiber shoes, Brooks says theirs could last up to 400 miles. That’s a pretty significant win for a carbon fiber shoe based on the price we’re all paying! A few years ago, when Saucony re-introduced the Triumph with an expanded Polyurethane (aka the Everun) midsole, we thought, ‘Here comes another unoriginal adidas Boost copycat.’ The new upper is excellent too. The full sleeve secures the foot in soft and seamless comfort, and the open-pored mesh breathes well. Just like the Ride 14, multiple widths are offered with the Ride 15.

Saucony Tempus is something quite special. There are no other shoes like it. With this shoe, Saucony has really made something out of the fact that runners who need extra stability shouln't have to merely settle for a single type of shoe. The Tempus is the obvious choice for a tempo shoe if you're a runner who needs a little extra stability. With the Omni 20, one gets a conforming yet comfortable upper fit that’s now aligned with how other Saucony products are designed. Keep in mind that shoe design can change, even with the same model, so always assess how the shoe fits every time you replace a pair. More about Saucony The upper on the Hurricane does a fantastic job, and I can barely find a fault. It isn’t a truly beautiful shoe, but that isn’t the point of these; it is all about the fit and comfort.I love that they added just a tiny piece of cushion on the heel to help reduce any issues with blisters from these really minimal uppers.

These two are the most popular neutral running shoes from Saucony. Both have been around for many years and continued to improve. This has been one of my go to shoe’s for many years. The newest model is starting to feel like a departure from what I loved in 2010, but it’s still a shoe that I’ll continue to wear. Runner’s World featured them in 1979 as a top 10 running shoe. By the 80’s they were making shoes with a non-slip sole which was a big innovation. And remember, just because these are two of the most well known brands on the market, there are still plenty of other shoe brands to select from if neither Brooks nor HOKA has the right shoe for you. Pwrrun PB looks like adidas Boost, but it isn’t. This foam is PEBA – a much lighter and bouncier material.

Saucony Hurricane 23 Shoe Specs

This super cushioned shoe is a favorite for many, though you are getting a touch more weight for all that cushion. Many say that it feels both like your foot is being hugged and like every step is a bit bouncy. Megan graduated from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in 2014 with a bachelor's of science degree and went on to the University of Delaware (UD) for her doctorate of physical therapy degree. While at UD, Megan also earned her Masters of Science in Clinical Anatomy & Biomechanics.

Saucony has also been transitioning to less aggressive stability tools, ensuring the shoe is not over correcting or doing the work for you. In this model, Saucony not only paid attention to the support below, but uses the upper for additional stability. It wraps around your foot, helping you feel more secure in the shoe,. Both the midsole and the outsole work really well together offering a high level of flexibility and deliver a great transition as your foot works its way through the gait cycle. The brand’s most popular road running shoe (GTS stands for go-to-shoe) just turned 22 and comes in a swath of colors. This supportive shoe is best for a medium to high arch, and is part of the cushion line. The insole isn’t particularly noteworthy, other than to mention that it does allow some heat to dissipate. Hurricane keeps fresh for milesOverall: B (The B score is mainly due to the fact that I feel it is just a bit too heavy. If you will be using it mainly for recovery, long distance mileage, this may be the shoe for you.) It’s also a shoe I recommend for runners dealing with Plantar Fasciitis because it’s got a high arch and provides a lot of support.

The rubber between you and the road needs to hold you firm, and this does. Be it road or a compacted dirt path by the side of a river, these shoes grip well. As a shoe in good weather, traction is never going to be an issue. Adidas Boston 10 Review - Boston gets revolutionized as it leans into its racing sibling the Adios Pro 2 with Lightstrike Pro midsole and energy rods Performance: B- (Great recovery long mileage running shoe. Shoe is a bit heavy for faster runs and it is noticeable during uptempo runs.) Hey, everyone! It’s Brandon here with Road Runner Sports, and today I’m sharing my thoughts on the Saucony Hurricane 23. I’ve gotten the chance to run in the Triumph 18, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this shoe feels similar to the Triumph, which I enjoyed. The Hurricane 23 has the luxurious comfort of the Triumph, but it also has stability features overpronators will appreciate. I found this shoe to be super-cushioned and an overall great ride, but I’ll get into all that in a moment. The Hurricane 23 provided everything I needed from a daily training stability shoe. This shoe has an impressive combination of soft cushion, supportive stability, and snappy energy return. It may be a bit on the heavy side, but with the lightweight and bouncy foam in the midsole, it does not weigh me down while running. The stability post on this shoe is not distracting and does not take away from the smoothness of the ride. Finally, the upper was luxuriously accommodating, and I found it to be very comfortable. Largely, we’re looking at what makes these traditional running shoes different to see which might be a better fit for your training. This was one of the very FIRST shoe brands that I bought at a running store! I thought it was so incredibly cool my name was on the shoe…ha!!! But yes they were super duper bright white (as you’ll see below). I also bought stability because I was told I needed it…but I’ve beaten this topic, many runners don’t.
