About this deal

Hi, I have the pestbye ultrasonic and have the sensitivity and frequency up to 11 but I’m still getting foxes dig 2ft holes in my new lawn. Not strictly a fox ‘deterrent’, but a lifesaving fox-related product for frustrated dog owners who have to deal with the aftermath of their dog gleefully rolling in fox poo. This particular model is fitted with infrared (IR) sensors that not only detect motion from the animals, but also their body heat signature, and this triggers the machine to activate the ultrasound frequency and deter the fox. Having said that, I don’t know if those small interlocking sections would withstand a fox digging at them, so I think it’s a good idea to use the provided wire ties anyway, just to be on the safe side.

We also use different external services like Google Webfonts, Google Maps, and external Video providers. You’ll see below that the recommended fox deterrents are targeting the fox’s sense of territory, they are not doing anything that will impact upon your cat. The spikes aren’t so sharp that they will cause harm to foxes or other wildlife, but they’re definitely enough to make it uncomfortable for the fox to stand on them, which also stops them pooing too. The best place to put the FoxWatch is facing the point that the FoxWatch gains entry to your garden. No two are exactly the same and they all work in slightly different ways from one another, targeting different senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch etc…) and different types of problems. No, unfortunately Scoot Fox Repellent is a British-made product and is not currently available in the USA.

So, we want to protect our gardens from foxes, but how can we ensure that our cats aren’t inconvenienced at the same time? This is because the entry point is where the fox decides whether or not it’s safe to enter your garden. Also any areas of "scorching" on lawns which will identify areas where marking is a factor and where persistant fouling is noted. Best guesses are that it’s a leftover instinct from their wild pack days, either to disguise their own smell from prey or to display to other members of their pack where they’ve been. Scoot's non-toxic composition guarantees peace of mind, while its bio-degradable nature further demonstrates its commitment to environmental sustainability. However, in the grand scheme of things, the battle for territory is not a life and death situation for a cat like it is with a fox. Raking through the dustbin and leaving half of it on the floor, stealing dog food, digging up flower beds (it’s not just mole traps you need here), leaving good sized piles of poo on your freshly cut lawn. However, also just like us, the fox is unlikely to instantly change its habits after a solitary bad experience.

If you’re unsure, add around 5 litres of water and see if this is enough to cover the areas in need of protection. Whereas Renardine was banned for concerns to health and to the environment, Scoot is biodegradable and non-toxic, making it a very safe option for use in gardens.

I will repeat putting the repellent down at the end of this month to make sure that the deterrent is still strong and keeping the foxes away.

Deterring foxes successfully is not an exact science, nor is it something that happens overnight – they are wild animals after all and won’t suddenly change their behaviour just because you’ve had enough of them. The repellent comes is 50g sachets that you then add to water and that gives you a fair old amount to pour/spray around your garden.

Alternatively, you can fix this onto any wall, and there’s even a convenient hanging hole already included in the design. Feeling a little annoyed, but undeterred ourselves, we set about spraying all over again, but this time we made sure to keep applying the Scoot fox repellent every evening. This fox repellent is very effective because it contains 88% aluminium ammonium sulphate and is non-toxic.
