Shaun is able to recount many truths on black history particularly the positioning and current status of black people in the UK.But much to the 62-year-old's surprise, contestant Nathan, from Bridgend, said he had read the book and hoped he was taking Shaun on. He has experienced various forms of discrimination and exclusion and has overcome the negativity to achieve prominence in his professional field and also to become a much loved television star. Wallace was twice-nominated for a World Fantasy Award in 2003 and 2004 for editing Prime Books, in the Special Award: Non-Professional and Special Award: Professional categories.
