About this deal

Drinking it, I was tasked to see if it particularly improved my awareness and energy, or even just hydrated myself more than a glass of water, but I didn't notice any significant difference. I can see it being helpful if you finish a work-out or if you're hungover and looking to get some vitamins and minerals into your system, but that really depends on if you would be able to get it more easily in the future. The drink itself is a purple or dark magenta colour, which is mostly hidden by the plastic label. Upon first opening the bottle, I got a sweet, fruity smell - nothing too specific to be able to tell what fruit flavours were used, but it was definitely artificial. Tropical Punch: Straight away it is very sweet, almost too sweet. Tropical flavours are super vibrant and almost burst in your mouth. Very strong and flavourful. Second best. The heart-breaking disappearance of Yorkshire army lad who went on Christmas night out and has never been seen since

On December 29, Aldi released the highly popular Prime Drink in its stores, leading to people queuing outside of supermarkets before they opened and, in some extreme cases, fighting over the bottles.Unlike the other flavours, Meta Moon has a white label and is a purple/dark magenta colour inside (Image: Corey Bedford/Leicester Mercury) Meta Moon was okay, but other flavours such as Ice Pop and Blue Raspberry are meant to be nicer (Image: Zhara Simpson/PlymouthLive) Ever since the hit hydration company Prime came out with its mysterious and intriguingly named Meta Moon flavor of Prime Hydration Drink, we’ve been asked many times, what does it actually taste like? The name Meta Moon doesn’t actually tell you a whole lot, especially next to the beverage’s other options like Grape and Orange, so we thought we’d share two answers, an official one from Prime and our own opinion. Official Description Tasting it, the artificial flavouring was confirmed. It reminded me of really cheap sweets you would get from the corner shop when I was younger - the ones that had that distinctive fake fruit flavour and were overwhelmingly sweet.

I know I've thrown around words like "artificial" and "overwhelmingly sweet", but that doesn't actually make it a bad thing. Honestly, if you did a blind taste test without knowing the hype you probably wouldn't notice much difference compared to other hydration/sports drinks.

Where to buy Prime Hydration in Scotland - full list of shops carrying Logan Paul and KSI's viral drink The sports drink is made up mostly of water, along with 10 per cent coconut water and added vitamins, electrolytes and minerals. It has zero added sugar and contains around 20 calories per bottle.

Blue Raspberry: First thought, very refreshing and tastes really good. The raspberry flavour is instantly evident, and this drink actually has me wanting to sip more. Best flavour so far and actually really nice. It's fine, if you like that kind of thing, but it's nothing new or particularly ground-breaking. The flavour is good if you enjoy sweet, fruit-based drinks, but is it something I'm going to choose over Lucozade, Powerade, or Gatorade? Probably not. Overall thoughts: Are they worth the hype? Probably no. But, if I could go to a store and buy them without any queuing or without over-paying, they would be worth it. The flavours are nice, vibrant and actually taste good. I'd be interested to see if the other flavours are better, as I've heard very good things about the Ice Pop and Blue Raspberry versions, but with all of the hype, it just seems underwhelming. Those who have been purchasing the viral sports drink recently have been noticing that the bottles are now made with a heavier plastic and have a different base shape.

Ice Pop

They’re now launching from Tuesday, staff have been warned not to sell before that date. Phone your store before queueing at your Sainsbury’s first thing on Tuesday. Some stores have been told to hold off until as late as Thursday." Prime Hydration was launched by social media influencers KSI and Logan Paul, and bottles have been selling out in minutes across Asda stores in the UK. Ice Pop: Again, like the Meta Moon flavour, it has a medicine-like taste but this time there isn’t a sweet after-taste. Instead, a little on the sour side. Worst flavour so far.

Flavours of Prime include Meta Moon, Ice Pop, Blue Raspberry, Orange, Tropical Punch, Lemon Lime and Grape. Over the past six months, it's been hard to miss the rise of Prime Hydration in the UK. From people queuing up outside Aldi from the early hours of the day to wrestling for the bottles in Asda, the sports hydration drink has caused quite a hubbub.By some minor miracle, I managed to grab myself a bottle of Meta Moon from Asda in Oadby (branded as 'candy fruit' flavoured) but Prime comes in a whole variety of flavours, including Ice Pop, Blue Raspberry, Tropical Punch, Orange, Grape, and Lemon Lime. With the amount of hype surrounding the drink - and the fact that people have literally fought over it - I thought I'd share my review of Prime Hydration. On Thursday, the supermarket confirmed the drink had now arrived in stores, reports Manchester Evening News.
